Since Disney first announced that Splash Mountain would be transformed into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at both Disney World and Disneyland, we’ve been keeping up with all the latest updates.
We learned a bit about the inspiration behind the ride, and why you might want to wait it out in the standby line once it opens. But over in Disneyland, another new Princess and the Frog experience is coming — Tiana’s Palace restaurant. Since the new ride is being constructed on the East Coast as well, could a Tiana’s Palace restaurant come to Disney World?
Get ready for Tiana’s Palace — a NEW restaurant coming to New Orleans Square in Disneyland Park later THIS YEAR! Disney shared in the announcement, “With its mouthwatering menu, exceptional entertainment, and warmhearted hospitality, Tiana’s Palace quickly became a treasured meeting place in New Orleans. Princess Tiana used her newfound success to support surrounding neighborhoods, which led to her role as a community leader.”
The menu will feature an expansion on the current favorites served at this location, in addition to exploring seasonal flavors and offering New Orleans classics. Disney Imagineers shared that Tiana’s Palace will be a reimagined restaurant — and in fact, it will be replacing the former French Market Restaurant, a quick service spot that’s close to the ride.
And, since this restaurant is in keeping with the transformation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, it would only make sense that a similar restaurant would be added to Disney World too, right? We have a pretty good feeling about it — and there are a couple of reasons why that is.
At the 2022 D23 Expo, we learned a TON of new info about Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and that’s where Imagineers first announced that Tiana’s Palace would be coming to Disneyland. We got the chance to speak to some of the Imagineers involved in the ride, and they shared that they’re hoping the restaurant will come to Disney World and are trying to make it happen.
Of course, this isn’t any sort of confirmation that a Tiana’s Palace is, in fact, coming to Disney World, but the fact that the Imagineers are on board with making it happens gives us a glimmer of hope!
Even more recently, we had the opportunity to chat with Imagineers and others involved in the creation of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure during a media event in New Orleans. They shared a ton of information about the ride itself and the inspiration behind it.
When Imagineers were asked about the potential of Tiana’s Palace coming to Disney World during this event, they still didn’t confirm anything, but said that they are working on logistics and reiterated that they hope it will be on both coasts.
So, while we ultimately still don’t know if a Tiana’s Palace restaurant could come to Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, we do have some signs that make us hopeful!
We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates about Tiana’s Palace in Disneyland and will be waiting on the edge of our seats to find out if the restaurant is coming to Disney World too, so stay tuned to DFB for more!

I don’t think you will see an tiana’s palace at WDW… And where would they put it…? Next to Peco’s Bills along the path to Pirates of the Carib…? How about were the staging lines are for the attraction…? I just don’t see any space available near the attraction big enough to house it.
