It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for — wait times are starting to go DOWN in Disney World.
Crowds have been a little all over the place this year in the parks and Disney has announced that they expect demand to go down. Since then, we’ve seen several new discounts urging people to book a Disney World vacation. BUT if you are in the parks or going soon, we’ve got some good news from this week — the most popular rides are seeing a decrease in wait times!
Don’t get us wrong, you’ll still have to wait in line at Disney World. We aren’t quite that lucky! But rides like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Flight of Passage all saw the average wait time go down over the past week.
Again, these wait times are still higher than many other rides in the park. So what if you don’t want to wait? That’s where Genie+ comes in.
Genie+ is Disney’s paid skip-the-line system that allows you to book a time to use the Lightning Lane for an expedited wait time. The most popular or newest rides in each park are not included with Genie+, but instead offer an Individual Lightning Lane to purchase. Here are the rides that offer this pay-per-ride option:
- Seven Dwarfs Mine Train — Magic Kingdom
- TRON Lightcycle / Run — Magic Kingdom
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind — EPCOT
- Flight of Passage — Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Rise of the Resistance — Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Consider these into your trip’s budget or decide which rides you want to prioritize. To help you decide, we break down ALL of the average wait times from the past week in Disney World below!
Magic Kingdom
Starting in Magic Kingdom, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time of 77 minutes. Last week the average wait time was 83 minutes, so the time has finally decreased this week.
