Joffrey’s Revive
And when a new contender pops up, well, it’s kind of our job to go try it and report back to you. Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company is known for its coffees and giant doughnuts, and we spotted something new on the menu. Can these new cookies dethrone the DFB favorite Gideon’s Bakehouse? You’ll find out soon!
More cookies?! Yes, please. Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company has rolled out a few new different types of cookies and we picked one up to try! Meet the S’mores Cookie — it’s a chocolate cookie with chocolate chips, graham cracker pieces, marshmallows, and sea salt for $5.99. It kind of looks like it belongs in the bathroom, but we’re certainly hoping it doesn’t taste like it.
A NEW cookie has arrived!
This thing was chocolatey. The chocolate got melty in the sun which we actually enjoyed. We also really liked the sea salt — it tasted great combined with the chocolate chips. The parts with marshmallows were fun and gooey as well, but there weren’t much of them and we wish there had been. This cookie was a bit drier than what we typically look for, but it had a great overall flavor.

As we said, it was a little dry and crumbly. The graham cracker pieces didn’t really add much to the flavor, and just made it even crumblier. We really would have liked there to be a LOT more marshmallows to soften up the cookie. Next to Gideon’s, which is thick, doughy, soft, and a little cakey — this was comparatively dry and disappointing. Was it awful? No. But it’s similar in price, and Gideons is WAY better.

So, will we be rushing to grab one of these new cookies over Gideon’s? Probably not — but, it was a nice little treat and one we would definitely get again if we’re near a Joffrey’s and craving a cookie.

I’d b glad to try this cookie. It does look good and it has one big advantage over Gideon’s. It’s SIMPLE to get; you just have to buy it at Joffrey’s. There isn’t any waiting and coming back, no virtual lines, just buy it at the coffee stand. Simple, easy and you’re back to enjoying your vaca.
