A highly-anticipated EPCOT event is returning SOON — are you ready? Are you hungry? We sure are! Soon, the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is returning (July 27th, to be exact!), and there are TONS of new menu items coming to EPCOT this year. With all the fun activities, like a scavenger hunt, a live outdoor concert series, and a cheese crawl, there’s plenty to do during the festival.
But today, we’re here to talk about the FOOD. With sooooo many new and returning options, it can be overwhelming to look at all those menus. That’s why we’re here to point out four NEW menu items you need to try. Based on what we know about a few returning EPCOT Food Booths, we already have their new menu items on our radar.
The Alps — Dark Chocolate Fondue with Berries, Pound Cake and Meringues (plant-based item)
The Alps serves some of the warmest, cheeeesiest dishes in the World Showcase; in the past, the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Alpine Ham, Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette has consistently been on our list of festival favorites. So when we heard that a NEW Dark Chocolate Fondue was added to the menu, we IMMEDIATELY added it to our list of must-try foods.
With such an impressive track record, we can’t wait to try the SWEET new menu addition coming to The Alps this year.

The Fry Basket— Pickle Fries with Dill Ranch
Two words. Pickle. Fries. Need we say more? Oh, and to make us even MORE tempted, Disney decided to add a side of Dill Ranch. Yeah, this is a no-brainer. Last year, we LOVED the Adobo Yuca Fries with Garlic-Cilantro Aïoli, so we have a good feeling about the newest menu addition at The Fry Basket.
If you love fried pickles, french fries, or just about anything The Fry Basket serves, you NEED to mark this food booth down on your list. Trust us.

Refreshment Port Hosted by Boursin Cheese — Cinnamon-Sugar Beaver Tail
UPDATE: Note that the Beaver Tail has been removed from the menu at this spot. We’re hoping it might pop up again later on in the festival, but Disney hasn’t made any announcements about it coming back.
Bear claws, beaver tails, Cheshire Cat tails…we’ll try just about any sort of critter-related treat. They almost never disappoint! This year, Refreshment Port has us excited to try the new Cinnamon-Sugar Beaver Tail. Last year, the Braised Beef Poutine was one of our festival favorites, so we know that this food booth has a GREAT reputation.
If you’re feeling hungry, we recommend ordering BOTH the Braised Beef Poutine AND the new Cinnamon-Sugar Beaver Tail; that way, you get a sweet and savory snack at the same time!

Shimmering Sips Hosted by CORKCICLE — Berry Mimosa with Berry Fizz Sparkling Wine and White Cranberry Juice
We can’t go to the Food and Wine Festival without ordering a drink, right? Shimmering Sips has some of our favorite drinks, and now the new Berry Mimosa with Berry Fizz Sparkling Wine and White Cranberry Juice is calling our name! We’ve previously enjoyed the Mimosa Flight at this location, so we’re hoping the new mimosa won’t let us down!
Last year, the Mimosa Flight came with a Tropical Mimosa (made with sparkling wine and Minute Maid passion fruit, orange, and guava juices — a.k.a. POG juice!), a Key Lime Mimosa (made with Key Lime sparkling wine and cranberry juice), and a Blood Orange Mimosa (made with sparkling wine and blood orange juice). We thought that they were all very refreshing!

Clearly, we’re going to need to go into this festival with an empty stomach and plenty of time; we’ve got an entire World Showcase to make it through (plus one booth over by Test Track) in order to sample all these new snacks! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.
