Blue shrimp, candles, octopus cocktails — you name it, we’ve probably tried it. Disney is no stranger to creating weird, over-the-top snacks, and we will dutifully try them — bodily appendages and all.
Speaking of snacks, we’re always on the lookout for the newest Disney treats, and we’ve got some NEW foods to share with you! Spoiler alert: one of them is a little strange. Let’s take a look!
Starting July 14th, several Haunted Mansion-themed treats arrived at Disneyland Resort. We’re talking churros, punch, and even soup! Bring your appetite because we’re about to dive in!
OK, let’s start off with this candle dessert. First of all, yes, it is edible. And yes, it’s one of the special treats coming to Disneyland, but no, you can’t order it by itself. Would we really make a special trip to Café Orleans just to try this candle dessert? Yes, yes, we would.
Disney announced that a special Haunted Mansion-inspired pre-fixe menu will be available at Café Orleans. The menu will feature Vanilla Mousse (presumably the candle) and a Seafood Boil.
In fact, we’ve actually eaten quite a few candles in the Disney parks before! You know you’re a food expert when you can say that you’ve eaten literal candles more than once. What can we say — we’re down to try anything!
If you’re not in the mood for a sit-down meal but still want a savory snack, fear not! The Constance Concoction is coming to Harbour Galley, and it’s a potato and leek soup topped with pea flower crème fraiche, herb oil, and fried leeks served in a sourdough bread bowl. This doesn’t exactly scream “summer,” but who says soup is only for wintertime?
For those with a sweet tooth, check out the Crystal Ball Cereal Treat at Candy Palace and Candy Kitchen! This cereal treat has a black-colored dark chocolate shell with teal and black M&M’S and is embellished with a Madame Leotta chocolate piece.
Disney also shared a preview of its Pickwick Ghost Punch from Royal Street Veranda and Harbour Galley. It’s a non-alcoholic drink with a combination of fruit, citrus juices, and sherbet. It sounds refreshing! You can find it in Disneyland through August 28th.
Finally, we can’t forget about the CHURRO! The New Orleans Square Churro Cart will serve the April-December Churro, a strawberry-flavored sugar churro with fresh strawberries, purple cherry sugar, freeze-dried strawberries, and donut icing drizzle. The churro will be available through August 21st.
Donut icing? We’re IN!
