We’ve seen our share of pricey souvenirs in Disney World — and sometimes, we wish we had the budget for them.
In the past, we’ve seen some pretty amazing designer ears, and we know we’re not the only ones who dream of owning that Arribas Bros crystal Cinderella Castle we see in Magic Kingdom all the time. There are also some pretty awesome souvenirs for Star Wars fans in Disney World, too, but now, we think we’ve seen what might be one of the most expensive!
Admittedly, we have seen plenty of EXPENSIVE souvenirs in Disney World. Remember those Disney X Gucci bags we found in EPCOT? Yeah, we’re no strangers to pricey merch in the parks, but that doesn’t mean we will EVER get used to the sticker shock.
OK, so first, we’re going to give you a little background information about the latest souvenir we discovered, so buckle up. It’s an original art piece by Kevin-John Jobczynski, meaning it’s the only one like it in the world. The artwork depicts Grand Admiral Thrawn, a character who might only be known by expert Star Wars fans.
The villainous Grand Admiral Thrawn first appeared in a trilogy of novels written by Timothy Zahn, but then he later became a character in the animated series Star Wars Rebels. This artwork seems to take place during the timeline of that series, as he has the Kalikori he stole from Hera Syndulla (on the right). Hera reclaimed the Kalikori at the end of that series.
But, more importantly, Thrawn will soon be making his live-action debut on Ahsoka, which premieres on August 23rd on Disney+. So this artwork is about to become more recognizable as the character will be introduced to fans who haven’t seen the animated shows. Think of it like an investment piece; you can say you knew about this character before all your friends.
So how much will this artwork set you back? Well, if you’re interested in investing, it will cost you a cool $15,000. Oof. Now, this IS an original piece, meaning it’s one-of-a-kind. So if you’re looking for something unique and want to buy something only YOU will ever have, you can find it at Tatooine Traders in Hollywood Studios. Just make sure you bring your credit card.
We’ll keep an eye out for even more unique Disney World souvenirs, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!

Hi Robin, thanks for this article. I’m curious, where did you get the $15,000 number for this piece of artwork? My understanding is there was a limited print run of these pieces spread between the two Galaxy’s Edge locations (Disneyland and Disney World) with 95 regular pieces and 5 Artist Proofs for a total of 100 unique pieces of artwork. Can you confirm this? Thanks in advance!
