Disney has some amazing technology you can see throughout their parks.
Rise of the Resistance is a feat of technology on its own, and so are other rides like Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. But there’s a lot of cool Disney technology outside the U.S. parks as well, and now we’ve got a closer look at some of it!
Disney Parks recently shared a video talking about some of the amazing drone technology that Disneyland Paris uses for their Disney D-Light Drone Show.
@disneyparks When you have drones, you can do anything!💡✨ #Disney #DisneyParks #DisneylandParis #DisneyDLight #DroneShow #Drones #DisneyCastLife
Yes, instead of fireworks, these drones create multiple different shapes and illusions in the sky! Each of the drones has a GPS antenna on top and an LED light on the front to create the shapes.
A control center is used each night to ensure the show goes as planned. This isn’t the only drone show Disney has done either! Walt Disney Studios Park, also in Disneyland Paris, did an Avengers drone show at the beginning of 2023.
We hope to see more of these shows around the parks in the United States, because hey, drones are cool! And while some Disney fans love fireworks, others may find them to be too loud and overstimulating — something that’s not as much of an issue with drone shows.

As much as I love the fireworks, this sounds eco-friendly, and I think is a method of nighttime spectacular that all parks should be using. Hear they’re just as phenomenal!!
Louise Herrick says
I’ve seen the drones in Paris & they were amazing. Also, they were high enough in the sky that everyone could see, unlike the projections on the castle.
Carol Tricarico says
Absolutely not !!!!!!!

I just got back from DLP and loved the drones more than the fireworks. They are amazing and I’d switch them in a heartbeat!

While I’ve not seen a Disney drone show, I have seen one that was pretty amazing and would love to see more.
That said, there is something so incredible and nostalgic about a Disney Fireworks show that makes me not inclined to want to give them up in favor of drones.
