You know the old saying “the early bird catches the worm…”? Well, the early Disney World guest catches the tasty breakfast offerings! Birds…people…we’re more alike than you may think!
Between getting all your family into the Magic Kingdom, double-checking that you’ve brought everything in your park bag for the day’s adventure, AND successfully booking your lightning lanes for the morning, you maybe be exhausted before even entering the park. Know what that means? You need a hearty breakfast to give you some fuel. Luckily, we noticed a change that may be helpful in filling your belly.
If you’ve ever tried to find quick breakfast options in Magic Kingdom, you may have found the options to be a bit boring (and scarce!). However, on a recent trip out to Magic Kingdom, we noticed some changes at a few quick-service spots.
If you happen to be in Magic Kingdom in the morning, make your way down to the castle hub Popcorn Cart on the Adventureland and Liberty Square side. There, you can find some quick, easy breakfast options! We noticed that this snack spot is now selling a Breakfast Bagel Sandwich.
We hopped in line to try it out and were able to snag a breakfast sandwich that was made of sausage, egg, and cheddar cheese served on a bagel for $7.25 and comes served to you wrapped in foil. They’re typically served from 8AM-11AM unless they run out sooner.
When we unwrapped the bagel sandwich, we were able to get a better look at it. As advertised, it’s made with sausage, a large egg folded in half, and cheddar cheese. It looks like a classic breakfast sandwich, but how does it taste?
Good news; we’re happy to report our findings on this new sandwich. The sausage was moist and flavorful, with a little bit of a peppery kick at the end. The egg is thick and fluffy, and that savory cheese brings the other flavors together.
This comes served as a nice, hearty portion. However, the bagel was a bit on the dry side, like maybe it wasn’t super fresh. It didn’t bother us too much until we got to a bite with more bread than meat, and then it became very noticeable.
We recommend you try it if you’re someone that loves a classic breakfast sandwich or if you’re rope-dropping Magic Kingdom and want to grab food before you really hit the park. The castle hub Popcorn Cart isn’t the only location you can snag a breakfast sandwich, though! It’s also available at the Spring Roll Cart — strategically placed before Tomorrowland and Adventureland, which we found very clever on Disney’s part.
On the flip side, if you’re a bagel snob — it’s not a super special bagel. We also don’t think folks that don’t normally enjoy the inside contents (sausage, egg, cheddar cheese), especially smushed together, would find it as appetizing.

I have found that the breakfast sandwiches served at carts that are not on biscuits benefit from some butter, ketchup or mayo smeared on the bread part. My son can’t live without ketchup, so I always have a pack or two in my purse. Worth grabbing a pack or two of condiments like that and carrying them with you.
