The Disney Dining Plan is returning to Disney World in early 2024, but while we wait for that perk to come back, there’s a NEW dining discount coming soon!
Early this year, Disney announced the new Dining Promo Card discount, which is essentially a gift card that you get when you stay at a Disney-owned hotel that you can use for food throughout Disney World. The offer announced in January was for trips from July 1st, 2023, and September 14th, 2023, but now there’s a NEW Dining Promo Card offer available!
This updated Dining Promo Card promotion is available for guests who are buying room-and-ticket packages for trips in late 2023 and early 2024. It’s valid for trips that take place most nights from October 27th through November 1st, 2023, most nights from November 25th through November 29th, 2023, most nights from December 9th through December 25th, 2023, and most Sunday to Tuesday nights January 9th through March 5th, 2024.
When you purchase a package that includes the Disney Dining Promo Card, it comes with your hotel room, theme park tickets, and a digital Disney Dining Promo Card (essentially a gift card for food).
You can get a gift card up to $200 per room, per night if you stay at one of the following hotels:
- Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Jambo House
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Old Key West Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s Contemporary Resort
- Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa
- Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
- Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Note that it’s $200 per room per night, meaning if you book a 5-night stay, you’ll receive a total of $1000 on your gift card.
You can receive a gift card up to $120 per room, per night, if you stay at one of these hotels:
- The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside
And you can receive a gift card up to $60 per room, per night, at any of these hotels:
- Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
- Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort
- Disney’s Art of Animation Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
Here are some details you should know about the offer:
- The number of packages available for this offer is limited.
- Everyone in the same room must be on the same package.
- Advance reservations are required.
- Minimum 4-day theme park ticket required.
- Minimum 4-night length of stay required.
- Tickets are valid beginning on date of check-in and must be used within a limited number of days, depending on length of ticket. Visit disneyworld.com/usage for details.
- $1,000 Disney Dining Promo Card for stays at select Disney Deluxe and Deluxe Villa Resorts. The value of the Disney Dining Promo Card is determined by Disney Resort hotel and length of stay.
- One Disney Dining Promo Card per room (not per guest) — valid for room-and-ticket packages that include up to $1,000 on a Disney Dining Promo Card. If a package includes more than $1,000 on a Disney Dining Promo Card, the value will be distributed across more than one Disney Dining Promo Card.
- Cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.
- Offer excludes the following room types: campsites, 3-bedroom villas, and Club Level Rooms & Suites at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels.
- Gratuities are not included.
- Theme park reservations are required. Through January 8, 2024, to enter a theme park, both a theme park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date are required for Guests ages 3 and up. View the theme park reservation availability calendar.
You can use the Dining Promo Card to pay for dining at “select participating food and beverage locations at the Walt Disney World Resort.” Some locations will not accept the card, including restaurants at the Walt Disney World Swan & Dolphin Hotels and Swan Reserve Hotel, restaurants at Four Seasons Resort Orlando, and restaurants at Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels.
Merchandise shops and candy kitchens also do not accept the Dining Promo Card. Most other food and beverage locations in Disney World accept the Disney Dining Promo Card.
After you check into your Disney hotel, the digital Disney Dining Promo Card will be sent to your email. The cards for this promo expire after March 21st, 2024.
To use your card, you simply present the digital gift card or a printed copy of the email when you buy food and beverages in Disney World. It can also be used for Mobile Orders.
You will receive the amount for your entire stay when you arrive (so if you’re staying for four nights and qualify for a $200 gift card per night, you’ll receive the $800 when you arrive — not $200 each day), so you can use it all in one day or spread it out throughout your trip.
Here are three different ways to check the balance on your card:
- Visit “Disney Gift Card” to check online
- Call (877) 650-4327
- Ask a food & beverage location to check it for you
The card is also redeemable at some food and beverage locations in Disneyland Resort and other Disney Resorts in the United States.

Adam Shields says
So nothing for Annual Passholders…
Dani says
Do you know if:
1. We can get this deal if we’ve already booked a trip through Disney?
2. If the room rates are higher to displace the cost of the dining promotion?
DT says
So again loyal vacation club members are left out What about us
Carolyn says
our arrival is 1-17 to 2-1 which we would have had dining card, called Disney this morning, we are NOT Eligible for dining card unless we check in on 1-21 Sun stay 4 nights….check out and check back in Sun and so on. Clearly a rouse to get people to make new reservations and fill in empty rooms. Truely disappointed!!!!!!!
Raquel says
What if you are hotel hopping. We are staying at Wilerness 2 nights and Pop 5. Will we get the 200 a night at wilderness and the 60 per night at Pop.
Mike Certain says
The campsites are left out again, even though they can be as expensive as the value resorts. Sigh….
Pat Jackson says
The new dining discount sounds great however we will be there the week of September 24th. I wonder why Disney skipped that week???? Guess they knew we were coming. Bummer 😫
DFB Gigi says
Hi Raquel! I would call Guest Services at Walt Disney World and ask about that.
Raquel says
I called and if anyone else needs to know the computers will not let you if you are resort hopping. It has to be within the time frame at the same hotel and you only get the credit of that hotel. I tried.
Lesley J Wentworth says
Sounds like a great promotion. And reading the already posted comments I agree with those that mention the loyal DVC members who will be on Disney property using their DVC points for their stay during those promotion times. I became a DVC member in November 1991 when OKW was being built and remember that one of the best perks for the first five (5) years was that park passes came for each person who stayed as a DVC member. Our monthly dues are paid & we have been & continue to be annual passholders. I wish that this dining promo card had been offered to those of the DVC members who will be on property at that time.
Patti Berg says
Thank you DFB for letting us know all about the new Disney Dining Discount Card. How cool! We’re heading to WDW in January, for the first time in almost 30 years, and we’re totally excited. What an added treat this discount card is going to be! We’ve already changed our reservation, which was a piece of cake to do online! We’re so happy we have DFB to rely on for all the latest and greatest news about WDW!!!
Teresa says
This stinks for us DVC members. We get nothing : (
Diana says
But never surprised anymore, DVC and Annual Passholders get snubbed continously. Very disappointing
Carolyn says
Hel-lu Hel-lu Gigi,
When will annual passholders perks for 2024 be announced?
Robyn says
I don’t know if anyone has said anything yet, but my family and I will be staying the week of the 25th-29th. We called to try to sign up for this and were told that week is blacked out. Please confirm!
Frank says
Hi,
We are staying at the Polynesian from 12/4 to 12/10, and the new Disney Dining Plan is from 12/9 to 12/25, are we qualified to receiver the Disney Dining promotion?
Danielle says
Yes, they skipped the week I will be there too!
DFB Gigi says
Hi Frank! You may want to call Guest Services and ask about that, but usually they require a minimum number of nights to qualify and since you’re at the end of your trip when the plan begins, you may not be eligible, but it never hurts to ask!
D Wade says
Question – So, should the friend going with me book the room in her name as she will need WDW park tickets for our trip and I do not (AP). I was going to book in my name, I usually handle since I’m more Disney knowledgeable. However, in this case, booking in her name might be best. But then I guess SHE would get the dining discount and I would not – can you not ‘share’…?
DFB Gigi says
They have to be booked as room and ticket packages so you wouldn’t be qualified since you already have an Annual Pass, unfortunately. Your friend would need to book the room so they can get the discount, however.
Andy says
I take it this will not be a UK offer?
