We’re bringing you ALL of the Disney news live from the 2023 Destination D23 event this weekend!
So far, this weekend has been filled with exciting details and interesting bits of Disney history. We’ve been anxiously awaiting an update on several major Disney projects, so we were SUPER excited to hear that Disney has news to share. This time, we’re back to report all the updates confirmed for Disney California Adventure — Avengers Campus is getting a NEW attraction!
During the previous D23 event, former Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced that the Avenger Campus is EXPANDING and exploring the Multiverse! Now, we have even more details on the new attraction coming to Disneyland.
As a quick refresher, we know that the focal point of this expansion will be a NEW attraction, and in the panel today, we got some more information about this new attraction!
According to Disney, guests will be able to BATTLE along with the Avengers. Of course, every hero needs a villain, and in this case, guests will encounter the new King Thanos in the attraction. Here’s a peek at King Thanos — SCARY!
At Destination D23, Brent Strong from Disney Imagineering explained the idea behind the new ride. Basically, the Avengers have developed a new technology that allows Avengers Campus to become a sort of a hub for the Multiverse. This includes a new vehicle that can transport “recruits” to new worlds in a split second to go on a multi-world mission. Sounds WILD, right?
Brent Strong, executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, shared an early look at the NEW ride vehicle, which will feature “a design that combines elements of Tony Stark’s time-suits with Xandarian jump points and Wakandan technology,” according to Disney.
If you want to keep up with all of the D23 excitement, be sure to tune in to the event’s livestream. You can also check out the NEW D23 merchandise collection that is available online! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more.

Sounds great. I just hope it doesn’t take as long as to took for the Guardian’s ride over at Disney World.
