There are many ways to get around Walt Disney World.
You can take the Monorail or Skyliner, use Disney’s bus service, or drive your own vehicle. If you take your own vehicle, you can use the tram service to get from Disney’s HUGE parking lots to the entrance at the Transportation Ticket Center (at Magic Kingdom) and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. But for EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, you still have to walk, as those parking lot trams haven’t returned yet.
That’s changing soon, as Disney announced trams will be returning to all four parks, and now we’ve seen that we’re one step closer to having the trams back!
When Disney re-opened after the COVID shutdown, the parking tram services in the parking lots of each park didn’t reopen. After a while, they finally returned to the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC) and Animal Kingdom, but not to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios.
We recently heard that both of these trams will be returning sometime in September of this year, and it looks like we could be getting close! Today while we were on our way into the parks, we spotted some tram training going on over in EPCOT!
That’s right! It looks like the Cast Members are out there getting things ready to be spun up again! This will alleviate having to walk from your vehicle to the main entrance at EPCOT, which can be quite a hike (depending on where you’re parked). When the tram reopens, you’ll just have to meet it at a designated spot near your vehicle and catch a ride right up to the front.
We hope this is a sign that the trams will be up and running shortly! Until then, we’ll be on the lookout for any more updates.

No park should have reopened without having the trams ready to go.
