It seems like every time we turned around this summer, ANOTHER Disney movie was hitting the theaters.
With events like National Cinema Day and discounted summer tickets, it was more tempting than ever to come out and watch these movies… maybe even more than once. But don’t worry, if you may have missed your chance to see them in theaters, you’ll be able to see a few of them on Disney+ very soon!
It wasn’t too long ago this year that films like Elemental and The Little Mermaid dominated the big screen. Since then, we’ve been antsy to watch (or rewatch) these, plus some other new Disney titles, from the comfort of our own homes.
But that’s not ALL that is releasing soon on Disney+! We’ve got a few new series AND new shows that will soon be joining the Disney+ service. Let’s take a look at when you can anticipate watching these new titles!
- New Goosebumps Series

On Friday, October 13th, Disney+ and Hulu are releasing the newly reimagined Goosebumps series. Goosebumps will be presented as a chilling new series inspired by R.L. Stine’s worldwide bestselling book series of the same name and will debut on both Disney+ and Hulu simultaneously.
The new 10-part series will launch with a five-episode drop as part of Disney+’s “Hallowstream” and Hulu’s “Huluween” celebrations and will subsequently have new episodes streaming weekly. The first two episodes will also air on October 13th on Freeform as part of its “31 Nights of Halloween” event.
- Marvel Studios Legends
The Disney+ Original Marvel Studios Legends joins the lineup of new Marvel content for Disney+ with the release of two episodes on September 29th. These initial episodes will answer some burning questions like “What exactly is a Variant?” and will explore the mysterious origins of the Time Variance Authority.
- Disney’s Launchpad
Rounding out the month, 6 episodes of the second season of Disney’s Launchpad, live-action shorts that feature the adventures of teens and children, are set to debut on September 29th.
- Star Wars: Ahsoka
Disney+ will also air episode 5 on September 13th of Star Wars: Ahsoka, which follows the trials and tribulations of Ahsoka Tano as she investigates a threat to the galaxy. New episodes will be available every Wednesday, with episodes 4 through 7 airing in late September.
Additionally, on September 15th, 2023, audiences can continue their quest for more of Star Wars’ legacy with Master & Apprentice: A Special Look at Ahsoka.
- Toy Story Funday Football
Disney+ will present a fully animated, real-time alternate telecast of the October 1st game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Atlanta Falcons. The game is one of the league’s yearly London matchups and is ESPN’s first regular season game that’s exclusive to ESPN+, where it will also air. The animated version will take place in Pixar’s Toy Story universe, with the field laid out on the floor of Andy’s room.
- Haunted Mansion
Disney’s Haunted Mansion film, inspired by the classic Disney parks attraction, will make its debut on Disney+ on October 4th. This spooky but comedic story follows a mother and son as they attempt to rid their new home of the ghostly ghouls within, but not everyone has such evil intent! The newly reimagined live-action film will join the ranks of other live-action movies that have recently hit the streaming platform, like Mulan, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and more.
- Marvel’s Loki – Season 2 – Episode 1
Loki quickly swept us off our feet with the first season that hit Disney+ in the summer of 2021. Since then, fans have been very vocal about their wishes for a quick release of a second season featuring the wisecracking, mischievous Loki and his variant forms. Marvel fans will be able to rejoice again when Loki Season 2 drops on Disney+ on October 6th, 2023.
