Like a lot of people, we enjoy shopping at Target.
Target might be the second happiest place on earth! With a Starbucks drink in one hand, while pushing the cart with the other, you always leave with more than what you went there for. Well, we went shopping at Target to find the candles that remind us of Disney World. These are the ones that reminded us the most of our days with Mickey!
We smelled nearly every candle Target had to offer. These nine are the ones we think will make your home smell like Disney World — or at least remind you of it!
Opalhouse – Cozy Nights
This first candle had a limited edition Halloween wrap on it! It’s called Cozy Nights and it gave us serious Haunted Mansion vibes. The candle is scented with woody tobacco, sweet caramel, and citrusy bergamot. But when we smelled it we were instantly transported into the buggy touring the Haunted Mansion.
Opalhouse– Sparkling Yuzu
The next one reminded us of a dessert you can get at Katsura Grill. It’s Sparking Yuzu and you might find it smells like the Yuzu Cheesecake! It’s a citrus-smelling candle that adds warmth to your room with its yuzu scent. You’ll be reminded of the sweet taste of the Japanese restaurant’s dessert!
Opalhouse– Gardenia Lotus
The Gardenia Lotus candle would be great for those who love the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival! This is a very floral candle with notes of peach and coconut. It made us think of all the fresh flowers around EPCOT during their annual festival.
 Opalhouse– Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookie
Okay, hear us out here. This Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookie candle does have a hint of pumpkin smell, but what we REALLY thought of was the gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort! When we smelled this, we thought it was Christmas already! It was like we were standing in line waiting to buy our own gingerbread house shingle. It was delicious.
Opalhouse– Pineapple Mango Cupcake
You probably guessed this one. We searched for a pineapple candle in hopes we would find one that smelled like a Dole Whip, and we found one! The Pineapple Mango Cupcake candle definitely reminded us of our favorite Disney World snack. You could smell the pineapple and the creaminess of the ice cream in this candle. It made us hungry for the ice cream treat just from smelling it!
 Chesapeake Bay– Blood Orange
This candle might give a bit of nostalgia. The Blood Orange candle reminded us of Soarin’ Over California as you fly past the orange trees. If you haven’t heard, Soarin’ in EPCOT will be changing back to Soarin’ Over California for a limited time. When we found this candle, we thought it was perfect timing for the retro ride theme!
Threshold– Rustic Palo Santo
We found two candles that reminded us of a popular ride. The Rustic Palo Santo candle made us think of being in the boat on Pirates of the Caribbean! The rustic scent gave us the feeling of being on the ride near the beginning. The smell of going through the caves was hinted at with this candle!
Threshold– Leather and Embers
If the last one reminded us of the beginning of the ride, the Leather and Embers candle reminds us of the burning scene! Leather and embers: exactly the smells we might think of when we think about the pirates on the ride. Strap up their laces and burn the town to the ground. Plust it’s a wood wick which really gives us the vibes of the crackling fires on the ride!
Threshold– Fennel and Pine
If you’re the outdoorsy type who likes to camp while you’re at Disney World, this candle is for you! The Fennel and Pine candle takes you out into the campgrounds of Fort Wilderness. You can smell the woods surrounding your tent. The crisp air of nature and trees. If you like Fort Wilderness, we think you’ll enjoy this candle!
Opalhouse– Driftwood and Sea Salt
If you’ve ever ridden Flight of Passage at Pandora in Animal Kingdom, you might remember the ocean scenes when you smell the ocean air. Well, the Driftwood and Sea Salt candle was almost exactly that smell! It was an amazing scent of that moment in the ride. This was a strong scent of an ocean breeze. We were immediately on the back of our banshee flying over the water. This candle was so good.
Just like normal, we ended up leaving Target with more than we intended! The candles smelled so good and reminded us of Disney, it was hard not to! We realize that it’s nearly impossible for a candle to smell exactly like Disney World, but these come pretty darn close and made us wish we were in the parks!
While you wait to go back to Disney, be sure to keep up with all the Disney news on Disney Food Blog!

this is a really neat article idea, I hope DFB can make more of these Disney-at-home types of suggestions in the future! As much as I like reading about the parks themselves for a bit of living vicariously via DFB, as someone who’s far away from any park and won’t be able to go myself anytime soon this kind of article is a fun and accessible way to engage with a bit of the magic. Nice article!

The Pineapple Lemonade candle by Opalhouse is a better dole whip scent, in my opinion.
