There are TONS of restaurants in Disney World, but a few of those spots are unfortunately CLOSED right now.
For two restaurants, Disney hasn’t given any hints at all about when they might reopen.
Restaurant Marrakesh in EPCOT
Almost all of the restaurants that were closed in EPCOT during the 2020 park closure have reopened — all but one, that is! Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion is still closed with no word on when it will reopen.
Since closing, the empty restaurant has been used as a relaxation station, a lounge…pretty much everything but dining.
For a while, the restaurant was completely blocked off, with hedges in front of the entrance to keep curious guests out. Recently, we saw that the hedges have been removed and the space is once again open as a lounge. We’re hoping the restaurant returns soon!

Tomorrowland Terrace in Magic Kingdom
Tomorrowland Terrace is located on some prime real estate in Magic Kingdom, right by the entrance to Tomorrowland. It’s a huge space that is currently filled with untapped potential!
Tomorrowland Terrace used to be a quick service dining location that would only be open during crowded seasons in Disney World. The food was never super exciting (think chicken strips and cheeseburgers), but it was fine and there were lots of tables available.
For a while, it was even the temporary replacement for Columbia Harbour House while the Liberty Square restaurant was closed during the pandemic in 2020.
Now, however, it’s only used during Magic Kingdom’s Fireworks Dessert Viewing Parties.
During the day, though, it’s just a big, open waste of space!
We’re hoping that Disney will reopen this restaurant soon and maybe even update the menu while they’re at it.

1900 Park Fare has been closed long enough. It’s time to reopen. This has my favorite character breakfast in all of WDW and the decor is wonderful.

Boooooooo, 1900 Park Fare was my very favorite restaurant. I’m guessing they closed it because it was too popular. That excuse makes about as much sense as everything else Disney has been doing.

We love the dessert parties, but TT definitely needs to reopen during the day. Even at ‘slower’ times, it would really do a lot to help with the limited dining + seating options in MK. You know what would be great? If they offered breakfast options here. We mostly book table service at MK, but that’s partly because finding quick service options that aren’t super frazzling at that park is not easy. We never ate here much at all, but we’d be thrilled to see it reopen.

We used to eat at Tomorrowland Terrace every year when we visited MK We were sad to see that some years ago already they haven’t used it as a restaurant.

What happened to Sonny Eclipse? The food might’ve been simple, but relaxing to his corny schtick and song stylings was priceless!
