When I think of fancy shmancy experiences at Disney World, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa comes to mind before anything else.
Not only is this widely considered to be THE deluxe of the deluxe resorts at Disney World, but it boasts the highly-acclaimed Victoria and Albert’s Restaurant, the Mary Poppins-themed Citrico’s, and enough Victorian theming throughout the hotel to truly transport you back to a magical time. One fan-favorite restaurant here that recently returned after a lengthy refurbishment is Narcoossee’s!
Located right on Seven Seas Lagoon at the Grand Floridian is Narcoossee’s Restaurant — a Disney Signature Dining experience that boasts an upscale yet casual atmosphere. Here, you can enjoy a variety of coastal cuisine while enjoying panoramic views of the Lagoon and the resort.
The Signature Dining restaurants at the hotels take on a different atmosphere than the Signature dining restaurants in the theme parks. You see, Signature Dining in the parks does have a “dress code,” but it’s much more relaxed and allows you to wear theme park attire into the restaurant. So, you’ll see track shorts, tees, and Minnie ears. However, this isn’t the case for Signature Dining at the hotels, which request that guests dress in a more sophisticated manner.
Disney’s website states, “This restaurant is a Disney Signature Dining experience offering fine dining with a distinctly magical flair. Guests are expected to dress accordingly in attire that respects the restaurant’s sophisticated and upscale aesthetic. Clothing should be clean, neat and in good condition. Please no swimwear.”
So, while you don’t have to dress to the nines in glitter and ballgowns, you should probably dress in attire similar to what you’d wear to a casual banquet. Sundresses, slacks, button-downs, jumpsuits, and rompers are great choices. You could also totally wear denim if you pair it with a nicer blouse or button-down. At Narcoossee’s, you probably wouldn’t get turned away if you wore theme park attire, but it’s best to avoid this and respect the atmosphere of the restaurant and the chefs that work hard to provide guests with upscale cuisine.
If you’re hoping to dine here, note that it is open daily at dinnertime and advanced dining reservations are required. Guests of all ages are invited to dine here, and plates range from $35 to $59.99 per adult.
And there you have it! That’s all you need to know when it comes to dining at Narcoossee’s and what to wear when you do so. We’ll continue to keep you updated with more Disney news, restaurant advice included, so make sure to follow along for more!

The last time I had dinner at Narcoossees must have been before it was redone, when it was more like a signature restaurant. Looking at the photos above, I see a very casual place. While it may still be called a signature restaurant, it no longer looks like one.
