Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a favorite of ours for sure.
This is a deluxe hotel located right near EPCOT — in fact, the International Gateway entrance is located literally steps away from the hotel. We love the atmosphere and food here at this hotel too, but did you know it’s also home to a secret lounge area?
The Solarium is located right across from Beach Club Marketplace and is a fantastic place to sit down and rest for a little while.
The room is bright and airy with many windows, has plenty of seating, a TV to entertain you or your kiddos, and an overall serene atmosphere.
This spot was closed for refurbishment for a while, so it’s nice to see the space open again!
It’s a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the parks, especially if you or your kids are in need of a little nap. In fact, when we walked in to take photos, we saw a few people taking a quick rest.
So the next time you find yourself exhausted in EPCOT and want somewhere nice and cool to relax, head over to the International Gateway, walk a few steps, and sit down in the lounge.

We love the “subdued” space of Beach Club’s solarium. It truly is a joyous “time out “ from thru hectic pace of the theme parks. And then on Super Bowl Sunday there was a small contingent of fans watching the game. Plenty of space.

So now it’s a sitting area. No tea. None of those awesome stuffed hot Parker house roll sandwiches. Jesus. Bring back room service, this place, the tea room, 1900 park fare and full menus. As a DVC owner – not having room service and the loss of big menus is a load of trash. Everything has been rising in price but they continue to cut what’s offered. Any luxury hotel or moderate to deluxe hotels all have room service. What a load.
