Let’s face it.
Magic Kingdom at Disney World isn’t exactly known for its irresistibly delicious food or gourmet cuisine. It’s theme park food with a handful of comfort food options. It’s fine. But it definitely hasn’t received any MICHELIN Stars. HOWEVER… we think that some folks are just a tad bit dramatic when it comes to these restaurants. There’s one restaurant in particular that people love to diss on, but it’s really not that bad.
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant is located at the very front of Magic Kingdom on Main Street, U.S.A.. It’s themed to Lady and the Tramp, and you’ll find references to the classic movie throughout the restaurant. This is everyone’s least-favorite Magic Kingdom restaurant, but we’re here to tell you that it ain’t half bad. Hear us out!
The food is FINE.
In the past, we really didn’t like the food here. Like… our favorite menu item was the dessert, which is never a good sign. However, the restaurant got a whole new menu back in 2022, and we actually enjoyed some of the items we had. Our favorite item on the menu was the GARLIC BREAD.
Seriously, things have been on the up and up over at Tony’s. It isn’t bad. It’s also not stellar, but it’s edible, and the other perks throughout the restaurant might make it worth it.
GREAT theming for classic Disney fans.
As we said, this restaurant is intricately themed to Lady and the Tramp. Throughout the restaurant, you’ll find nods to the film as well as vintage American flair. It’s just a cozy little Italian restaurant!
Classic Disney fans and those who love Lady and the Tramp will have a good time just checking out the atmosphere and all the theming.
Disney Dining Plan!
In case you didn’t already know, the Disney Dining Plan will make its return on January 9th, 2024. After that, Tony’s will once again be Dining Plan eligible!
This is a great way to preplan and budget your meals. The convenience is what wins every time for a lot of folks.
You can watch the parades.
Remember when we said that Tony’s Town Square is conveniently located on Main Street, U.S.A.? Yeah, well that offers you a GREAT view of the parades. Plus, you won’t have to fight tooth and nail for a viewing spot because your table at Tony’s will provide that for you!
Even when there aren’t parades actively happening, you’ll still be able to take in the sights of Main Street, U.S.A..
There are almost always open reservations.
People don’t like this restaurant. It falls very low on the list of beloved Disney World restaurants. In fact, it probably doesn’t make the list for most.
PERFECT! That means there are usually open reservations online, and sometimes you can even walk up and join the wait list. That makes this place even MORE convenient.
So… what do you think? Will you give Tony’s Town Square a try? We’ll be sure to keep you all updated with more Disney news, so make sure to follow along so that you never miss a thing.

I love this place! Solid 90’s Italian and such a cute look

I love Tonys. I think the food is just fine and I make a reservation there every time I go to WDW. The cast is always great. The service is quick. It’s an air conditiones break. The food appeals to even all the picky eaters. Honestly I’ve never had a bad thing when I’ve gone there. I really don’t get the hate.
Sharron says
Just get a new chef that is fantastic and you will not have a problem with food.
When we first ate at Tony’s in 1985 or so. It was delicious
Went back probably in 1990’s horrible. That’s NOT Italian!!

We went there years ago. It was pouring rain and we ran in not knowing anything about it. We did have a bit of a wait because everyone was trying to stay dry. It turned out to be a great experience! The food was certainly OK (not the Yachtman’s Steakhouse, but what else is?). The cast members were very kind. Then Eyore came in. Our 4 year old grandson perked up. he said, “Poor Eyore” climbed off my lap and gave Eyore a hug and told him he loved him. On his way out, Eyore stopped and gave CJ a big hug. We were almost as excited as CJ. On our way out, CJ said, “This is a good food place. They have great spaghetti!” At his request, we went back and ate on the more open area. More great spaghetti with Tiger!

We ate there recently and had a great seat outside for the parade. The food was pretty good and my son loved the cupcake that looked like spaghetti and meatballs.

I make a reservation here on every Disney World vacation! I know the food isn’t anything to write home about, but the kids are happy with spaghetti. Plus, I can have a glass of champagne while watching the parade. Honestly, that is tops for me.

Yeah …. you’ll be able to watch the parade from you window!! …. OR at least until people show up & stand on the ‘patio” OUTSIDE of your window & TOTALLY block your view! SAME problem with The Plaza during fireworks time. You THINK you’ve got this GREAT view right there from your table …. & then a family of 5 shows up & totally blocks your view! So your GREAT view may suddenly be of the BACKS of other park goers!!

You would think with the consistent bashing this restaurant takes year in and year out that Disney would actually put a better culinary team in place at the venue. It appears that Disney just ignores the less than glowing reputation of the venue. It’s unfortunate because the theming and location could make it a star.

I have always liked to eat at Tony’s the food is good and it’s a great place to watch a parade. The staff is friendly and the service is very good.

Worst MK restaurant ! Gave it a second chance and that’s it! No more like throwing your money away!
Kenh says
Ate there once about 8 years ago. Food was ok but nothing stellar, and Traditional Italian is easy to make stellar.
I thought the plating was wrong for the entre that I choose, (either Chicken or Veal Parm.) and I am sure priced way above competitive meals outside the park. Did not really appreciate the atmosphere and theming. A little above Just OK.

Yeah hard no from me. Got the worst food poisoning from there. I’ll never step foot in there again.
