Aside from dealing with and remembering all the rules of the complicated mess of park passes, Genie+, dining reservations, virtual queues, lighting lanes, extended hours and eye watering prices, one of the worst things about planning a WDW trip is simply finding it impossible to even book the things you planned. If you are not staying on property you’ll be beaten by the resort guest 60+10 rule to any popular dining venue or timeslot and to any special tour. My tip for those staying off property is therefore to not get fixated on Keys to the Kingdom, Space 220, Cinderella, Artists Point, Hoop Dee Do, Ohana etc but look for cancellations when you get there or just forget those places exist and go with what’s available elsewhere.
