We attended Disney’s first-ever Jollywood Nights event in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
We tried all the exclusive snacks and experienced all the special attractions you can only check out during these precious few hours. If you’re a huge ride fan, you’ll be thrilled to know you can ride your favorite rides as many times as you’d like during the party, but how long will you really be waiting? Let’s check it out!
The rides available during Jollywood Nights include:
- Slinky Dog Dash
- Alien Swirling Saucers
- Toy Story Mania!
- Rock N’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith
- The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
- Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (Star Wars: Rise of Resistance will use a virtual queue during Disney Jollywood Nights.)
- Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run
- Muppet*Vision 3D
- Star Tours
When we joined the Rise of the Resistance virtual queue at 8PM, our virtual queue wait time was around 80 minutes. We checked again at around 9PM, and the virtual queue was still available for guests to join.
Ride wait times for most rides were very low early in the evening. Tower of Terror only had a 13-minute wait time, Millennium Falcon only had a 15-minute wait time, and Toy Story Mania! had a 5-minute wait.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway was only a 5-minute wait, and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster also had a 5-minute wait at around 10PM. For most of the night, the wait times were low.
We checked the wait times again later in the evening, and interestingly, Toy Story Mania! jumped up to a 40-minute wait! In comparison, the wait for Slinky Dog Dash was only 25 minutes. Alien Swirling Saucers was pretty much a walk-on. Note that there was also no holiday overlay on any of the rides. We’re not sure what happened there, but note that even during an after-hours event, the wait times can fluctuate!
Of course, wait times can change depending on the night of the party, and rides can also malfunction and go down just like on any normal Disney day, so keep that in mind while you plan your evening. We can’t necessarily guarantee walk-on wait times all night long, but for the most part, you should see some much lower wait times during the Jollywood Nights party.
Be sure to stay tuned to DFB — we have a LOT of thoughts about the new Jollywood Nights party we’re ready to share!

The ride times were the only thing decent about this “party”. But that certainly wasn’t worth the price tag and never worth doing again or recommending to others.
Honestly, HS should be ashamed with this event and the price tag they associated with it.
1) They didn’t have enough CMs for this event. No one to answer questions, the CM’ers who were there; very uninformed and used the ol’ “computer glitch” excuse, instead of taking accountability for things that went wrong and offering options.
2) the Hollywood Brown Derby event is laughable due to a few things. One, demand. Come on; every day people pass on dining there and always blame high price. Yet last night, everyone had money to go there? Ironic? Why aren’t people booking it out daily then? For those of us who dine their religious each trip, it’s frustrating to have to deal with this.
Second, it was the only sit down restaurant, with waitstaff, open on property for this event?! When we finally got in at 11:55pm to sit down, there were sooooo many empty tables and it begs the question why weren’t they filled all night with the demand off the charts?
3) Galaxies Edge isn’t part of the event, “Because Batuu doesn’t celebrate the holidays”, per CM. This was very disappointing not to see it in full working order and all the stands open.
4) Cart/Booth Stand lines were insane. 45 minutes to get a Woodies lunchbox pop tart ; honestly they had only one register open and 3 staff CM inside working. Tried getting a normal pretzel, sold out about 5 people before we got to the register.
5) WDW needs to give up the whole “DJ Dance Parties”. They are not good. I’ll leave it at that.
To say the food options were such a disappointment is an understatement. Disney really dropped the ball on this thing and charged a massively high price for nothing. I do not recommend this event to others. Save your money.

FYI, when Tower of Terror or Haunted Mansion show a 13 minute wait, it really means a 5-minute wait. It’s Disney’s way of being cute.
