REVIEW: There’s a Reason We Come Back to This Disney World Treat Every Year

Holiday treats are popping up all over the Disney World parks and we’re trying them all!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

From Magic Kingdom to Hollywood Studios, we’re eating all the tasty, festive treats Disney has cooked up for us this year. And we’re here to share our thoughts on them all with you. We had one frozen dessert recently from Hollywood Studios and we have some thoughts about it!

On Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios, you’ll find a few small quick-service restaurants serving up yummy eats. One spot in particular is Hollywood Scoops Ice Cream where you can get yourself a Candy Cane Milk Shake.

While not new (we’ve seen it during past years) it’s been a while — like, a whole entire year — since we’ve tried this peppermint shake. It’s topped with a chocolate cake donut– which was very soft and cakey with a hint of peppermint in its icing. There are also peppermint sprinkles made of crushed candy canes on top with fluffy whipped cream that didn’t taste like peppermint at all.

The shake itself was rich and thick but we were still able to drink it through the straw. It was vanilla and peppermint flavored, which complemented each other nicely instead of the peppermint overpowering the drink; it’s a nice minty flavor. Unlike over at Beaches and Cream where each shake is scooped and mixed on the spot, this was pre-mixed.

You can get this 16oz ice cream treat for $9.79 and it could even be enough to share. If you’re a fan of peppermint, we definitely recommend this shake. So head over to Hollywood Studios to get your own!
