We visit Disney World every day, and it feels like we’ve experienced nearly every possible theme park problem known to man!
We’ve been stuck on rides, lost possessions, seen fireworks shows rained out, been injured, gotten sick, and so much more. But through it all, we’ve endured! And sometimes, those unexpected issues in the park are a little bit out of our control. We had one of those problems when heading to Magic Kingdom today!
When we arrived at the Transportation & Ticket Center on the morning of November 27th, the Monorail was closed! We were trying to get over to Magic Kingdom, but the only available transportation option at first was the ferryboat.
And unfortunately, the ferry had QUITE the long line — look at all those people waiting!
On a day like today, where the temperature is in the low 60s, this ferryboat ride could be uncomfortably chilly if you’re not wearing warm clothes. Thankfully, while we were waiting in line, we heard Cast Members announce that they were opening buses for transportation over to the park as well.
Overall, it ended up taking us about 40 minutes to get from security at the TTC to the entrance of Magic Kingdom. That’s a significant delay for a morning in the parks, and could definitely derail your plans if you were hoping to arrive for rope drop.
These kinds of unexpected issues are part of why we encourage you to arrive extra early for your park days — you never know what might go wrong. We’ll keep you in the loop if there are any more closures and delays today, so stay tuned to DFB!
