In a little over six months, Tokyo DisneySea will be welcoming an all-new port with three new lands!
Disney has confirmed a few things about the new port, Fantasy Springs, but there is still a lot that we will have to wait to discover. Fantasy Springs will open on June 6th, 2024 and we’re very eager to explore it! Since we’re like kids, on a road trip to Disney World, who just can’t wait til we get there, we’ve taken a deep dive into the concept art to pick out what we think might be coming!
Before we jump into the concept art, let’s, first, take a look at what Disney has officially confirmed for Fantasy Springs. (You can also check out our entire page dedicated to Toyo Disney’s Fantasy Springs for more details, information, photos, and updates!)
First, we know there will be three themed lands– Frozen Kingdom, Rapunzel’s Forest, and Peter Pan‘s Neverland.
Disney has also confirmed rides and restaurants within each of the three lands. In Frozen Kingdom, we’ll be able to ride Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey and enjoy food at the Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Oaken’s OK Foods.
In Rapunzel’s Forest, you’ll be able to take a boat ride on Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival and eat at the infamous Snuggly Duckling.
And in Neverland, you can ride Peter Pan’s Neverland Adventure and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggy. Then head over to Lookout Cookout to grab a bite.
There will also be an all-new Fantasy Springs Hotel! The hotel will actually be right INSIDE the park. It will have two room options– 56 luxury rooms located in the “Grand Chateau” and 419 deluxe rooms located in the “Fantasy Chateau.” In each location, there will be different room types that sleep a different number of people. They will also have different theming in the rooms.
For reservations at the hotel from June 6th through June 23rd, you’ll be able to book on February 2nd, 2024! And if you’re looking for rooms past June 23rd, you and start booking on March 3rd, 2024.
Ok, so all of that is CONFIRMED by Disney. But what else could we see in each of these lands and at the hotel? Disney might have given us some clues in the concept art! (DISCLAIMER: These are just speculations based on the concept art. These ideas are NOT confirmed by Disney.)
Let’s start with the hotel. Fantasy Springs Hotel will have two areas– Grand Chateau and Fantasy Chateau. In the Grand Chateau, you’ll be able to pick from the Alcove Room (sleeps four people in double beds), the Terrace Room (sleeps four people in double beds), and the Grand Terrace Room (sleeps four people in double beds).
According to the concept art, these rooms look very luxurious. They appear to have less Disney-theming and are very fancy-looking.
The Fantasy Chateau rooms, however, will feature Disney characters like Rapunzel, Bambi, and more! There will be four types of rooms based on location in the building– Bay Area Side, Hotel Entrance Side, Rose Courtside, and Spring Side. They will be either Superior or Deluxe options.
The concept art for these rooms still looks very fancy, but you can see the much more “Disney” style in the art.
The overall buildings of the hotel look amazing! The style is very Disney-esque. There’s a neat water fountain featuring the brooms from Fantasia with what could be Mickey directing them to spill their buckets. Overall, it’s a very glamorous design for the hotel! It will be very cool to walk out of the lobby and be right in the park.
Next, we’ll jump into the Frozen Kingdom concept art! In the background of the Frozen Kingdom concept art, you’ll notice the snowy mountain peak. Disney has recently given us insight that we will actually be able to see Anna’s ice castle amid the snow on the mountain.
In the new World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disney, there are two areas– the forest and the village. If we look at the concept art here for Frozen Kingdom, it looks like we may see that same concept coming to Tokyo! This could mean a similar show may be coming to Frozen Kingdom just like in World of Frozen’s forest. It certainly looks like we’ll get to feel immersed in the village and become one of the villagers here!
Now, let’s dive into Rapunzel’s Forest! We’re so excited to see Rapunzel’s tower in the design! In the movie, the tower is off in a forest in a secluded and secret opening, so we’re eager to see if they have an area around the tower somewhat similar to that.
It also looks like you’ll be able to make your way to some parts of the village, Corona, where the boat ride and Snuggly Duckling will most likely be located. It would also be lots of fun to interact with the villagers in this land, too. The movie shows them dancing and braiding hair, so maybe some of those concepts will also be included!
Then, onto Peter Pan’s Neverland, where we will never grow up! Of course, here we can see Captain Hook’s ship docked at a port in a central lake. How cool would it be to be able to explore the infamous ship, the Jolly Roger?! You can also see Skull Rock and other iconic areas from the original movie.
In the concept art for Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggy, it looks like we’ll be in a garden of sorts. This could be over in the top right-hand corner of the land concept art, where you can see tall sunflowers and other garden-like structures. It certainly seems like things will be larger than life in this area!
As all of us Disney fans know, Disney doesn’t do anything small. Now that we have experienced Hong Kong Disney’s World of Frozen, we have some big expectations for these three new lands. But it seems like Disney is working on an all-new level. This gives us hope that Fantasy Springs is going to be quite wonderful.
