THIS IS NOT A DRILL! A hearty, yet sweet dessert has made its way to Disney World!
If you find yourself at Magic Kingdom any time soon, we think you should make it a priority to drop by Main Street, U.S.A. (not that you’ll have much of a choice since it’s right at the entrance to the park 😂). We say this because if you’re a fan of desserts, a new one just arrived, and we have all the details!
Make your way over to Main Street Confectionary and try the NEW Skittles Strawberry Lemon Bundt Cake! SKITTLES on a CAKE? OK, so this isn’t actually the first time we’ve seen Disney do that. At the Festival of the Arts, you can get Skittles-topped cake at the Figment-themed booth!
We grabbed one of these new treats, and we have A LOT of thoughts. Let’s check it out!
This mini lemon Bundt cake is made with a strawberry filling and is topped with strawberry buttercream frosting and crushed freeze-dried SKITTLES® Original Bite Size Candies. Purchasing one of these small beauties will cost you $5.99. So how does it taste?
The Bundt cake is very dense but surprisingly lightly sweetened. We got strong flavors of the lemon and strawberry which combined to make this both a fruity and tart treat. The frosting sweetens the dessert with other nicely balanced flavors but we hardly noticed the Skittles on top because they were so small. The jelly-like strawberry filling was absolutely delicious and we were big fans of that inclusion.
We definitely recommend trying the Skittles Strawberry Lemon Bundt Cake and think strawberry and lemon fans should enjoy it as well. We also think anyone who loves Nothing Bundt Cakes will find similarities with this Bundt cake and should try it as well.
If you prefer light and fluffy cupcake-like cakes, maybe skip this one and try something else within Main Street Confectionary. Overall, we didn’t really find anything majorly wrong with this dessert!
