Disney World has been such a busy place!
There has been constant construction and change at EPCOT, news restaurants have just opened in Disney Springs, and even Disney’s Boardwalk Inn has seen a lot of changes recently. Speaking of the Boardwalk Inn, we took a tour of one of its newest rooms, so let’s take a look!
As we previously mentioned, earlier we got a look at some of the renovations happening inside BoardWalk Inn, including new hallways and new carpet throughout the hotel, and we noticed that the overall new color scheme is very BoardWalk-like with a lot of teals and whites. Now we know that has carried over to the newly renovated rooms!
Let’s start with a look from the entryway.
There are three big closet doors to the left where you’ll find your normal storage and extra pillow and blanket…
…and to the right, you have the restroom.
To the right of this space you’ll find the toilet and shower.
Here’s a look at the in-shower dispensers of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner:
Here’s a look inside the shower:
The tile work is really quite impressive.
Now, back into the entryway for our first proper look into the main space.
To our left before reaching the beds, we see the coffee station. Have a look at the artwork featuring the hotel and Mickey and Minnie picnicking in front of it:
There’s everything you need for your morning brew:
Moving from there, The beds have a teal and gold plaid headboard.
Here’s a straightforward view:
Each of the beds has its own side table. The outlets have USB outlets, as well.
There are also reading lights integrated into the headboards of the beds.
The wall has artwork of Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto on the walls with a very turn-of-the-century flair.
Between the beds, you’ll find the room phone and “Hey Disney!”
Opposite the beds, you’ll find the TV, main dresser, and pullout couch.
Take a look at the artwork above the couch:
Here’s a closeup of the other piece:
Next to the couch is a cute lamp with some Mickey heads on it.
Let’s have a closer look at the room curtain behind the lamp.
On the curtain, you can see the silhouettes of Mickey…
…Minnie,
…Donald,
…Daisy,
…Goofy,
…and Pluto.
You’ll find the only other piece of furniture in the corner right before heading out to the balcony.
Now let’s head out to the balcony.
Here’s what the balcony looks like:
And, when you look out of the balcony, there’s a view of the courtyard.
The new rooms look so modern but still manage to capture that BoardWalk vibe. We’re big fans of the refurbished look. Anyways, we’ll keep covering ALL Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

More mediocrity from Disney. These rooms, with minimal variations, look like Riviera, Beach Club, Saratoga Springs, Grand Floridian, and…and…and……
Obviously whoever is in charge of the design department should go back to school!!!
Mark says
The rooms.look nice but I am not fan.of the color scheme. Who am I kidding I’ll never be able to afford the Boardwalk.
Sandra Dayball says
Very inviting would love to stay there
Laurel Lane says
Looks like they put more thought into these rooms than in previous refurbishments. More Disney touches – that’s the way all refurbishments should be.
Sandy says
The rooms cheap and what happened to the comforter’s it looks unappealing
Dan says
I like how there’s so much room under the beds, that’s great for getting your bags out if the way.

Q: Have any DVC rooms been redone, or is it just the “cash” rooms? (if that makes sense)
RandyC says
Very nice. I love the new artwork. I also loved the “Grandma’s Spare Bedroom” look from before. It was period appropriate for a Northeastern seaside resort circa 1900. I agree the old Boardwalk Inn rooms needed an update as they were looking worn. I would have been happy with a simple refresh of what was already there, yet this is very nice too. I want to see what they have planned for the Villas side of the resort. I love your pic of the front entry “drive-up.” It brought a big smile. The Boardwalk is my family’s favorite WDW resort. We have had the best memories there.

They are nice, but… missing the boardwalk colors. The rooms seem to be giving the way towards a more generic (Marriott/ Hilton) room style. There is some nice touches. Being a DVC member, I have add-on-ittis. When my currant contract was paid I was going to contact my DVC agent and have them find me some points here.
Not now.

I wish you all would post photos of the accessible rooms too please! Thank you!!

We stayed in a remodeled room and found the beds could easily move on that tile floor with a push of a knee or sitting down on an angle. I fell when that caught me off guard (who expects a bed to scootch on you?). Reported it in case they wanted to check on that and maybe add anti-skid pads to the legs. Ended up getting a call from the general manager making sure I was ok. I’ve wondered if it was just something I somehow did or if they actually found they did slide fairly easily.

I just stayed here last week and I loved the room! I definitely will be coming back.

I like the new rooms. Very classy and so many Disney touches. The artwork is wonderful and I want that lamp!
Kimberly Blauch says
The Boardwalk rooms look beautiful! The Beach Club should take notice! The Beach Club used to be our favorite but they have totally ruined that resort rooms and DVC Villas are stark and ugly! And the Beach Club lobby is an ugly white color that now looks like a hospital or office building- not charming welcoming beach resort. But why are these resorts taking ceiling fans out of the rooms?
Boardwalk looks charming
Judy Perkins says
A big thank you to whoever has decided to replace carpeting with smooth surfaces. They look great! They feel cleaner! They give the room an all over better appearance and they surely make mousekeeping much easier
Beth says
Ok…no ceiling fans!!!!!! We NEED CEILING FANS!!!!! Please!! Can someone please take pics of the accessible bathrooms at Boardwalk Villas!! I need a grab bar on the right side of the toilet!!
MrsDvc says
