Have you heard the exciting news?
1900 Park Fare at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort will reopen for the FIRST time since before the pandemic on April 10th, 2024. This is such exciting news, as the buffet dining experience allowed guests to indulge for breakfast and dinner in an atmosphere that truly feels like it’s straight out of Mary Poppins. As a matter of fact, visitors could partake in a character breakfast here — Supercalifraglistic Breakfast — which allowed folks to dine and eat characters like Mary Poppins, Cinderella, Prince Charming, and Winnie the Pooh. Now, we have some MORE updates! The characters you can meet are changing, but an exciting part of the menu will return.
We were silently hoping that the famous Strawberry Soup would make its way back to the menu. It’s a cold, sweet soup that’s so incredibly refreshing on a hot day in the parks.
Good news, folks! STRAWBERRY SOUP IS MAKING A COMEBACK. Disney said, “An enchanting buffet will be served for breakfast and dinner, featuring some returning guest favorites — yes, that includes the strawberry soup! — along with new menu offerings dreamed up by our talented chefs to pay tribute to some of the characters and stories you’ll encounter throughout the restaurant.”
OH, and speaking of characters, there will be some familiar faces that will join you at breakfast and dinner. Yep, you can expect to see Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel, and Tiana, who will be in her new look for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! They’ll be there to celebrate the power of a wish, Disney said.
We can’t WAIT to check it all out soon! Disney said more details will arrive on March 5th, so we’re making our calendars for then. Oh, and you can make RESERVATIONS on March 5th, too! We’re constantly monitoring Disney’s website for updates, so stay tuned for all things Disney news.

They traded in Alice, Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins and the step sisters for Maribel and Tiana ? How do the new characters go with the theming of the restaurant and hotel ? So random. Loved the lineup they had there before covid.

The new line up doesn’t make sense – it’s such a mish-mash of characters.
Glad it’s returned, but will have to see if it needs adding to the list of ‘things that have been made worse’.
