We’re no strangers to the best eats in Disney World. In fact, we’ve pretty much tried them all.
But, we especially love being able to bring you the best tips, tricks, and hacks that can get you the best Disney World eats in a better, easier, and cheaper way. We often talk about one Disney World dining hack, in particular, that we happen to love. But, we recently realized that it might be a rip-off — here’s why we still love it anyway.
‘Ohana is an extremely popular Disney World restaurant located in the Polynesian Village Resort hotel — and there’s a reason it’s so popular. The all-you-care-to-enjoy meal is a hard one to come by, with reservations filling up pretty darn quickly. But, there’s a way you can get some of the most iconic ‘Ohana eats without a reservation or by paying “all you can eat” prices: By eating a Tambu Lounge instead!
That’s right — Tambu Lounge is located adjacent to ‘Ohana at the Polynesian and because of this, you can order many of the same items a la carte. And, while you won’t find those famous noodles on the Tambu Lounge menu officially, you can still order them (we love a good secret menu!). In addition to the noodles, Tambu Lounge also serves ‘Ohana’s potstickers and wings (which are delicious too!).
Now, here’s the thing. We recently visited Tambu Lounge to get our grub on, and though we came out satisfied with how everything tasted, we couldn’t help but feel ripped off when it came time to pay the bill. We ordered a few items and our bill was just about as much as it would have been if we had eaten at ‘Ohana — but we didn’t get the all-you-care-to-enjoy benefit.
Of course, this is entirely due to what we ordered and how much of it we ordered — had we just opted for, let’s say, the noods, our bill wouldn’t have been nearly as high.
We know that Disney World food is expensive, which is why being able to save money using hacks like this is important. But, as far as this hack goes, we’d reserve it for times when you just can’t get an ‘Ohana reservation or are just craving an item or two! This is still one of our favorite tricks in Disney World, though, just keep this in mind the next time you remember it!

I ate for dinner at Ohana once. I loved the noodles and a couple other things.

Hmmm. Looks like they’ve changed the menu.
We took your hack last month (January). I believe the noodles were on the menu at around $13, not bad by Disney standards. That and a couple of non-alcoholic drinks made for a fun, time-efficient, and not-outrageous stop for us.
Thanks for the original hint and telling us the noodles are still available. Does $13 sound about right as of February 2024?
