Disney+ has been the home of all things Disney since 2019, and slowly but surely, they’ve been adding to their catalog.
It isn’t just familiar House of Mouse titles on the platform these days, especially with the Hulu app merger adding an entire other library of content into the mix. But, since Disney owns a few different production studios, we get to experience all sorts of titles. And, an Academy Award-nominated film for Best Picture will be exclusively streaming on Disney+ in select markets soon!
Searchlight Pictures’ Academy Award Best Picture nominee, Poor Things, will stream exclusively on Disney+ in the United Kingdom beginning March 7th!
The film has been nominated for 11 Academy Awards and recently won five BAFTA Awards as well. Emma Stone stars as Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe) who then runs away for Duncan Wedderburn, played by Mark Ruffalo. The story is based on a book by Alasdair Gray and was directed by Yorgos Lanthimos.
As of now, there are no announcements that this movie will come to Disney+ in the United States, but we’ll let you know if that changes.

Steven K Olis says
Poor Things while a good movie is at times borders on that of pornography. To put this on Disney can be objectionable and needs to be at the discretion of parents.
