Disney World is the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Although it is super magical, some weird things have gone down at Disney World. Our team visits Disney World every day, so trust us when we say we have seen a thing or two!
We asked our team to share stories of times they have seen something weird or out of the ordinary go down in Disney World!
Skating into the Park
You can really have a wild time over in Animal Kingdom — or you may see some wild things! One of the members of our team took the tram from the parking lot to the front of Animal Kingdom. In their tram car, there were two kids dressed as Mario and Luigi who brought RipSticks (a type of skateboard) on board with them.
Our team member was sure that a Cast Member would ask them to return it to their car, but they were able to bring the RipSticks on the tram with them. Once the tram arrived at the front gates the children started to ride them in between the tram boarding railings. We guess Mario and Luigi wanted to ride into the park in style!
Changing Diapers in Line
We know that lines for attractions can be long at Disney World! When you have waited so long, you might need to step out and use the bathroom. While in line for Toy Story Mania in Hollywood Studios, one of our team members saw a baby get their diaper changed on the floor while in line!
Our team member was shocked to see that the person changing the diaper touched the handrails after changing. This should serve as a kind reminder to remember to wash or sanitize your hands often while at Disney World!
Getting Run Over by ECVs
It can be hard to get through crowds at Disney World, and it can be even more challenging if you are pushing a stroller or using an ECV (Electric Conveyance Vehicle.) Since it can be hard to drive one of these, our team has seen instances where people will get hit by an ECV.
One team member said she once saw a child get full-on run-over in the park. The child was fine, but it was still a sight to see. Another one of our team members once got their body rammed into the benches at the Enchanted Tiki Room from an ECV not stopping when backing up.
Make sure to give plenty of room to wheelchairs, strollers, and ECVs to avoid anything like this happening and to keep everyone safe.
Flying Objects on Rides
Certain attractions are fast, and you can lose your hats, glasses, or things from your pockets. For example, over at TRON Lightcycle / RUN, there are built-in lockers for you to place your valuables in.
If you have ridden Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, you know that it is the Wildest Ride in the Wilderness, AND that if you wear any hats or glasses, it’s best to remove them! When one of our team members rode Big Thunder, someone’s hat ended up flying off and hitting them in the face.
Flying objects on a moving vehicle can be dangerous and hurt someone, and you might lose the item for good. It is best to make sure you stow away any loose items before riding an attraction!
Going into Labor at the Park
Believe it or not, babies have been born at Disney World before! While enjoying the parks, one of our team members overheard a commotion. A woman started to yell that she was in labor and her water just broke!
Our team member was not sure if they were messing around or if they were actually going into labor, but regardless that is a crazy statement to overhear while you are at the parks!
Stories like this can make your trip to Disney World all the more memorable, for sure! We go to Disney World every day, so keep following us as we share all the new stuff we find — and some of the bizarre things we see and hear, too!

Lois Pierce says
Some people may drive ECVs recklessly, but still more people WALK recklessly. They’re peering at their phone without looking where they’re going, letting their kids run chaotically without supervision and backing up into the walkways. If I run into someone who walks into my path without warning, I can’t see as it’s my fault. I try to be very aware of others and drive slow enough to react to most anything, but people just walk in front of me as if I wasn’t there. So far I haven’t had any serious accidents, but I feel like it’s only a matter of time.

A couple of years ago, I was waiting in line for Slinky Dog Dash, and a father and son were in front of me. As we got nearer to the covered portion of the queue, I heard the dad ask about bathrooms, and the cast member said that there weren’t any inside. A couple of minutes later the dad directed the kid to climb into the shrubbery area of the line to pee there instead. The cast member scolded them once he realized what had happened, but by then it was too late. I could believe it!
