The HUGE Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Announcement We’re Expecting Disney To Make SOON

Things are moving right along with the construction of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in both Disney World and Disneyland.

The more we see of its progress, the more excited we get! We’ve already been given a lot of cool details about the ride’s story, as well as some details about the ride’s setting and queue. We’ve even had a sneak peek at the VERY impressive Tiana animatronic the ride will include. Now, we’re just waiting on a BIG announcement concerning something else about the ride.

So in Disneyland, we recently learned that not just one, but TWO Princess and the Frog gift shops will open near Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Critter Country. The first is Ray’s Berets, which will be replacing The Briar Patch. This spot will have headwear, apparel, accessories, toys, and more.

The second gift shop will be Louis’ Critter Club, which will be located on the left hand side of Pooh Corner. This shop will have apparel, accessories, and home decor featuring “some of your favorite critters” and Princess Tiana.

Like we mentioned, these two shops were mentioned for Disneyland. BUT we have not had such an announcement about Disney World. That means we’re expecting an announcement soon perhaps letting us know that the old Splash Mountain gift shop, Briar Patch, will be converted into a Princess and the Frog-themed shop and open with the ride. This announcement should come SOON, too, because the Disney World ride is opening THIS SUMMER.

We recently checked up on the old Briar Patch store in Magic Kingdom. It’s covered in scrims, but we could hear something that sounded like an air blower happening behind those scrims, so we’d say it’s VERY likely this shop is getting a Princess and the Frog makeover.

Now all we have to do is for Disney to officially announce a gift shop. Until then, though, we won’t know for sure what’s been planned for the old Briar Patch shop.
