We have been watching the construction progress over at The Cake Bake Shop in Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort for quite a while!

Get ready — we have a SUPER exciting update to share with you about this new Disney World restaurant!
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is currently scheduled to open in early 2024 at Disney’s BoardWalk Hotel. The restaurant will serve items for brunch, lunch, and dinner, featuring both sweet and savory menus. The location will also feature an afternoon tea service, a champagne bar, and a to-go bakery case. Initially, the restaurant was supposed to open in 2023, however, the project was delayed and we have been (not so) patiently awaiting updates.

While we have previously written about the location hiring for both Executive Chefs and Sous Chefs, the restaurant is taking another huge step towards finally opening! The Cake Bake Shop recently shared a post on Instagram that states they are HIRING for the Walt Disney World location. We are SO excited! They are hiring for a variety of positions and will be hosting open interviews beginning March 26th, 2024. The open interviews will take place at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Orlando at Flamingo Crossings.

This go-around we are seeing A LOT of open positions. From hosts to bakers and everything in between, The Cake Bake Shop looks like they are really “sweetening” up their staffing. This is a huge step towards an official opening date!

Additionally, The Cake Bake Shop looks like it has a ton of great company benefits. They included some of these benefits in their Instagram post. It seems to be a pretty sweet gig! New dream job, anyone?
