One of the most popular fireworks shows Magic Kingdom has seen in recent history returned to the park about a year ago in April 2023.
We’ve seen Happily Ever After so many times that we pick up on little details that change, and we never get tired of seeing how it affects those watching it for the first time. If you’re heading into the park soon and want to be sure you catch this show, don’t forget that showtimes are CHANGING!
Currently, when you look on your My Disney Experience App, you’ll see that Happily Ever After shows each night at 8:30PM.
However, starting tomorrow, March 31st, Happily Ever After will begin at 8:45PM instead! This change will be in effect through April 20th.
So why the change? Well, as the sun begins to set later and later in the day, Disney has to adjust the start time of the show to ensure it can still be seen the best — in the dark!
After April 20th, Happily Ever After will move to showing at 9:00PM. But don’t worry, we’ll remind you when that’s happening!

Although HEA is a marvelous show, anyone watching it from Main St. could feel trapped when it ends- when about half the guests turn around and try to leave the park ALL AT ONCE!!! Foolishly, o recently watched from the midway point. As thow neared its end, I tried to meander towards Tomorrowland, where I hoped to ride Space Mt. However, I quickly found that access to TL was nearly impossible, as CMs and Security Hosts had blocked off the shortcuts via the old Plaza Pavilion! Even the new walkways were off-limits. It must have taken me 15 minutes to squeeze my way into TL!!! Something must be done about the congestion on Main St. Ideally, Diz should tighten its attendance levels by not letting so many bodies into this park, which wasn’t designed for such massive crowds!!!
