With all the changes happening at Disney World lately, it’s time to slow down!
Is there any better way to do that than to stay at a Disney hotel? (Go ahead, we’ll wait for your answer.) To that point, we thought we’d bring you along this time for a tour of one of the standard rooms at the All-Star Movies Resort. Let’s take a look!
In case you didn’t know, Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is one of three All-Star Resorts at Disney World. These are some of the Value resorts, and as such, they have some of the cheapest and smallest rooms on the property.
Let’s start with a look at the entryway.
The door opens to an outdoor hallway and features the standard Disney hotel doorknob along with a deadbolt and a security guard. An emergency plan is also posted.
Nearby on one of the bedside tables holds the room’s “Hey Disney!” device.
The curtains definitely have a punchy design on them.
Here’s a look at the view outside the window:
The large cabinet next to the bed is actually a Murphy bed that when folded up gives the room a lot more space.
You’ll have to move these chairs in order to pull the Murphy bed down.
Here’s a look at the Murphy bed down:
We love this print on the wall of the Murphy bed with Huey, Dewey, and Louie.
Near the door and window, you’ll find a cabinet with a coffee station and ice bucket.
There’s everything you need for your morning brew:
To the left of this station, you’ll find the TV mounted across from the beds above a small dresser.
The dresser has three drawers and one cabinet. The cabinet holds extra pillows, a Bible, and a standard hotel safe.
The bathroom is in the back of the room behind a sliding door.
Here’s a view of the queen bed:
Each side of the beds has its nightstand. The outlets have USB outlets, as well.
The phone is between the main bed and the Murphy bed.
There’s plenty of space below both beds to store luggage.
Now, let’s have a look at the bathroom. The washroom is pretty small but features everything you need — a bright mirror, a sink, a hairdryer, an iron, and an ironing board.
The sink comes stocked with hand towels and washcloths, facial soap, and tissues.
To the right is where you’ll find a small closet space.
To the left is the separate toilet and shower room.
Here’s a look at the in-shower dispensers of body wash, shampoo, and conditioner:
Here’s a look inside the shower:
The showerhead is a wide variety that has moderate pressure.
The toilet and shower room can be closed off with another sliding door that features a full-length mirror.
There’s also a magnifying face mirror.
Overall, there’s a lot packed into a small bathroom space.
That’s all for the tour of the Standard Room at All-Star Movies! This is usually the cheapest room you can rent in Disney World, but as you can see there’s still adequate space and plenty of amenities here! Anyway, we’ll keep covering ALL Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for more.

The All-Star resorts don’t get enough love. We have stayed at all resort levels at Disney World over the years and this is our go to now. The rooms are well designed, comfy and we always feel very safe. Best of all, we save so much money and can stay longer and eat and drink more!! For you nay-sayers, don’t knock it til you try it!!!

We stayed at All-Star Movies a couple times years ago. We stayed in the Toy Story section and the rooms were themed to Toy Story. They certainly seem to have taken the personality out of the room. We stayed in Pop Century recently and the rooms were nearly identical, just a little bit bigger with cuter pictures.
