We already know what you’re thinking. Hot weather? Isn’t Disney World always hot?
Well, from November to March, locals and avid visitors alike tend to LOVE the weather at Disney World. It’s typically sunny, a bit breezy, and around 70 to 80 degrees. However, late spring is when nature’s thermostat gets kicked up a notch and we start seeing temperatures above 90 degrees. Well, get ready, y’all. It’s coming.
Click Orlando shared that hot weather is ON ITS WAY! According to the site, a large dome of high pressure is bringing central Florida into a very dry hot stretch.
They reported, “Partly to mostly sunny skies remain overhead Wednesday as highs warm into the upper 80s inland, and near 80 along the coast. The average high in Orlando for mid-April is 83 degrees.”
However, starting Thursday, April 18th, temperatures will begin to soar above 90 degrees!
“The hottest day looks to be Saturday, with highs in Orlando maxing out at 94, which would be 2 degrees shy of tying a record.”
So…what does this mean for YOU? Well, dress comfortably in sweat-wicking, breezy clothing. Also plan around drinking plenty of water, as these higher temps can dehydrate you much faster.
The good news is that these high temperatures are only expected to last a few days as the dome of high pressure is expected to weaken. This is expected to bring rain to 30-40 percent of the area and bring cooler temperatures along with it.
