One HUGE change is coming to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival this year!
The 2024 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival will begin on August 29th and end on November 23rd. The event will bring lots of food booths to the park, along with the Eat to the Beat concert series, themed merchandise, a festival scavenger hunt, and more. This year, there’s one major new addition that’ll make the 2024 festival even more exciting than years past!
2024 is the first year that the CommuniCore Hall and Plaza will be open for the Food & Wine Festival — or for ANY EPCOT festival, for that matter!
CommuniCore Hall and Plaza are new festival areas that will open in EPCOT’s World Celebration area on June 10th, 2024. The indoor hall and outdoor plaza are going to be the new “home base” for all of the EPCOT festivals.
CommuniCore Plaza will be an outdoor space that hosts large-scale concerts and intimate performances. Disney has confirmed that the Eat to the Beat Concert Series will take place remain at the America Gardens Theater, so we can’t wait to see what other festival entertainment could come to this space.
CommuniCore Hall is located within the plaza and is EPCOT’s first fully-purpose-built structure for the festivals. This building is designed to change throughout the year as the festivals change, and it’ll have a variety of experiences with food, art, music, and more.
Inside the Hall, there will be a demonstration kitchen, a mixology bar, and exhibition and gallery space. Remember how those popular seminars and demos have been missing from the Food & Wine Festival since 2020? We’re hoping that this NEW SPACE is the sign that they’re coming back! Here’s what Disney has had to say about what’s happening here so far: “The new space will add exciting fresh elements to the festival.” We can’t wait for further details!
A couple of other experiences that will be located inside the Hall include a new Encanto stage show…
…and a Mickey & Friends meet-and-greet.

We can’t wait to see the new CommuniCore Hall and Plaza when they open on June 10th, and we’re even more excited to see how the areas change to fit all of the different EPCOT festivals.

Does ANYONE know IF the Food BOOTHS will still be all around the countries for the Food + Wine like Before? OR will they now ALL be somewhere else?
DFB Gigi says
Hi Rick! We don’t yet know how everything is going to be set up because Disney has been pretty tight-lipped on all of that. We’ll be at the first day of every festival though and will be able to show how everything is looking then.

I’ve heard many people complain about the late start of the food and wine festival. If memory serves, which it sometimes doesn’t, it used to start around that time. During covid it started earlier. Does this sound familiar?

Seems like a great place to bring back Party For The Senses.

Has anything been said by Disney of Communicore Hall will have tables & chairs to sit & eat your festival foods? I have stopped attending these festivals since there are very few places to sit & eat, plus, for me it is more enjoyable to sit at a table in the air conditioning & eat my food (and yes, I am a Florida resident, so I understand the Florida heat, hence the need for indoor seating.).

Boo, We certainly did not get this vision! Disney disappoints again. .sigh.
