If you’re looking for super tasty eats that won’t wreck your budget, Disney World’s quick service restaurants have your back. There are tons of these fast food-style eateries throughout the four parks, and a few of them are — in my opinion — even better than their more expensive table service counterparts.
Even though I LOVE the fast food of Disney World, I have to WARN you about the one problem with eating at the cheapest places in Disney World. Here’s a hint: the problem actually has nothing to do with the food.
At Disney World, there are two different kinds of restaurants: table service and quick service. At every table service restaurant, it’s recommended (and basically required) that you have reservations before you visit. (You can learn how and when to make those reservations HERE.) You cannot, however, make reservations for quick service restaurants.
Having the freedom to decide where you want to eat in the moment is great, and it’s one of the many perks of choosing quick service over table service. However, the problem comes in when lunchtime hits and suddenly EVERYONE in the park wants to eat.
Problem #1: Long Lines
Because you can’t make reservations for those fast food restaurants, you’ll be stuck waiting in line to order as hundreds of other guests try to get their lunch at the same time.
At some of the most popular restaurants, those lines can get LONG.
The Solution
At most restaurants, there’s a pretty easy solution that’ll allow you to completely SKIP those long lines! Several quick service spots offer Mobile Order, which means you can order your food on the app, schedule a pick-up time, and then skip the normal line to grab your lunch once that time arrives.
Here’s a list of all the restaurants that offer Mobile Order in the parks — note that there are some restaurants at the hotels and at Disney Springs that have it, too! Click here for the COMPLETE list.

Mobile Order is a feature on the My Disney Experience app. To use it, open up the app and click on the little “+” icon in the middle of the menu at the bottom of your screen. Select “Order Food.” This will pull up Mobile Order! You can choose “As Soon As Possible” or “Schedule for Later” at the top of the screen.
PRO TIP: If you’re hoping to eat at a popular spot, order your food first thing in the morning and schedule a pick-up time for later in the day. Mobile Order pick-up slots can and do fill up, and you don’t want to be left without your favorite eats come lunchtime!
Then, you can filter by park or hotel to find the restaurant you want. You can see on this menu when the next available window is.
Select “Begin Order” and choose your food! You can often customize your eats as well, if you want any ingredients added or removed.
Once you’ve made all of your selections, you’ll pay on the app and then wait for the pick-up window to arrive. Once that window has opened, you can click “I’m here, prepare my order,” and it’ll let the Cast Members know that you’re ready.
After a little bit, you’ll be called back to the Mobile Order pick-up area, where you can grab your food.
Voila! Lunch without the line.

Problem #2: Limited Seating
Unfortunately, there’s one more problem that plagues the best fast food restaurants in Disney World: limited seating. If you’ve ever tried to find a table at Casey’s Corner around 12PM, you know this firsthand.
Some of the restaurants in Disney World where you’re most likely to run into this problem are Casey’s Corner, Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, Ronto Roasters, and Woody’s Lunch Box. Most snack stands don’t have seating areas, so you may be a bit lost for seating if you’re just grabbing a quick snack but still wanted to sit down and eat it.
The Solution
The solution here is just to take your food somewhere else! Here are a few suggestions that have worked well for us in the past:
Casey’s Corner — This spot only has like 5 tables inside, but there is a lot of outdoor seating. However, even that outdoor seating often fills up during peak meal times. Try the outdoor tables just across the street by the Plaza Restaurant. If you’re still not having any luck, go a bit further to the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. That closed restaurant always has tables available!
Sleepy Hollow — This is one of my favorite places to eat in Magic Kingdom, but there’s just a small outdoor seating area next to it. If you walk back past the Hall of Presidents, you’ll run into the Liberty Square Market, which has a much larger seating area behind it. I can almost always find a table there, and they’re frequently covered by umbrellas to protect from the sun or rain.
Ronto Roasters — If Ronto Roasters doesn’t have any tables available inside the restaurant area, I usually check to see if I can sit in Docking Bay 7’s outdoor seating area. Sometimes the Cast Members are totally fine with it, but I have been turned away before. If they say no, I usually head over to the area right before the exit into Toy Story Land, where there are quite a few benches.
Woody’s Lunch Box — This fast food spot gets CROWDED around lunch time, and I’ve often been left searching for a table when I eat here. Unfortunately, seating is very scarce in general in Toy Story Land, so sometimes I’ll leave the land entirely and go back through the Echo Lake area towards Sunset Boulevard. Right at the entrance of Sunset, there’s the Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant. Go past that spot, around the corner, where you’ll see a closed bakery (RIP Starting Rolls Cafe) that has several tables and chairs in front of it. I can almost always find an empty table there to enjoy my Totchos.
You might’ve caught on, but basically my rule of thumb is to take my food and walk away from the restaurant for a while. Usually, I can find a spot to eat within a few minutes of walking!

The seating issue is one reason why Cosmic Ray’s is still on our meal rotation, even with a much-diminished menu (miss those roast chicken dinners). We sometimes don’t get dinner until late, and if we time it right, we can snag a seat facing the Castle and watch the fireworks while enjoying A/C and a burger or salad.
