A hotel gift shop has temporarily CLOSED in Disney World, and it looks like it’ll remain closed for a couple of months at least.

Disney occasionally closes shops, attractions, and other areas in order to update and refurbish them. That’s how they keep everything lookin’ fresh and new! However, that also means that you might run into some temporary closures on your next trip to the parks. If you’re heading to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort soon, you need to know about this important update.
The M. Mouse Mercantile gift shop at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort has CLOSED temporarily. Here’s how the store looked yesterday evening…

…and here is the same spot today. It’s dark inside and the doors are locked.

This shop usually sells toys, clothes, jewelry, and princess dresses. Cast Members told us that while this spot closed, the merchandise has been split up between Curiouser Clothiers and Sandy Cove Gifts & Sundries (two other gift shops located at this hotel).

Cast Members didn’t say exactly when M. Mouse Mercantile should reopen, but we found a CLUE on the Disney World website.

Right now, the webpage for this gift shop has a notice stating that the store is closed, and it says “No times available” where the hours would normally be located.

However, when you change the date to July 13th, hours suddenly pop up! It’s currently showing that the store will be open from 8:30AM to 9:30PM starting on that date.

It’s possible that the opening date will change based on how refurbishments go inside, so we’ll keep watching for updates from Disney.

I’ll put it like this. Grand Floridian has THE WORST GIFT SHOPS on property. The All Stars gift shoppes BLOW GF’S OUT THE WATER. I defy anyone to say otherwise.
