Magic Kingdom can be quite a hectic place, we get it!
You can make your trip less stressful by researching and booking what dining reservations you want ahead of time, making a loose plan of what you’d like to accomplish during your trip, and packing all your essentials. However, some of the stressors from your trip will likely come from other people’s actions that you can’t police — in fact, 90% of Disney fans want to BAN these things from Magic Kingdom!
Being Rude to Cast Members
Nothing boils our blood more than seeing guests be rude and disrespectful to the hardworking Cast Members around the park, and it frustrates a lot of you as well!
We know — it’s hot, you’re stressed, you paid a lot of money to be here, and the idea of anything going wrong is terrifying. But there is never any reason to be rude to Cast Members. Most times, they’re more than happy to help you in whatever they way they can, but if you’re disrespectful, why should they go out of their way to make some magic?
Going to Disney World When Sick
LISTEN, we know you paid a ton to be in Disney World, but it is NOT at all okay to force someone in your party (or yourself) to go into the parks when you’re sick.
Let us be blunt — YOU’RE GETTING OTHER PEOPLE SICK. One of our readers shared a gross story — they said they witnessed a kid get sick right outside Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater and their guardian didn’t say anything. In fact, when their reservation was called, they rushed into the restaurant and didn’t inform a Cast Member about the PUKE inside the car outside the restaurant. Y’all that’s just nasty. Please just stay home or in your hotel room. We know, it sucks, but don’t be gross.
Not Wearing Deodorant
Is there anything worse than standing near someone in line who CLEARLY isn’t wearing any deodorant? It’s Disney World and it’s hot, yes, so everyone will be sweaty, but it’s OBVIOUS when you’re not wearing any deodorant and it’s awful.
EVERYONE is sweaty in Disney World, so there is no reason why you shouldn’t be wearing this park day essential. And if you forget it, most Disney World hotels sell some! Even if you’re not staying at one, you can take free Disney transportation to one, or take your own car to a CVS outside the Disney World resort bubble. PLEASE, do what you have to do to wear some!
Cutting in Line
No one likes waiting in line — we don’t either! But that never means it’s okay to skip other guests in line.
You may think you’re being slick by telling people that you’re trying to meet the rest of your family that’s further up in line, because that genuinely can happen if a parent has to take their child to the bathroom in a long line, but when there are FOUR adults trying to cut in line? Really? Everyone has to wait, guys, no one is the exception.
Genie+
We weren’t surprised to see this as one of the most common answers — lots of people want Genie+ banned in Magic Kingdom!
We get it — FastPass was free and we all miss those days, but alas, they won’t be returning (at least, not in the near future). It’s frustrating to have to pay for something that was once free, but you can really do SO much with Genie+ if you know how to use it, and that’s what we’re here for!
We’re always here to help you plan your next Disney World trip to avoid all the possible stressors, so stay tuned to DFB!

The line skipping issue is a huge one to me since I’ve had the most experience with it. It’s annoying when these people need to cut in front of other parties just to get on one ride faster. Personally, I would love to make a rule that states that if you cut the line, you need to redo the entire line again from the entrance. Failure to do so will force you to repeat the line process until you’ve learned your lesson. Play stupid games, win stupid prices. Have a Disney Day!

Edit: I meant to type prizes, I type fast when I’m angry.

You forgot to add
Rude obnoxious yelling kids double wide strollers fights and all around disrespectful TOURISTS
naturaldisastergirl says
I’m probably wrong, but I thought book-ahead Genie+ was coming this year. Any word on what happened to that? Having to pay for what used to be free isn’t great, but taking away the book-ahead option of Fastpass+ added injury to injury!

Ban Strollers !
Pris says
As per usual, 90% of people don’t like Genie+ but Disney listening to their customer base has a ZERO% chance of changing when it us a cash cow for them.
Gino says
I wish they would sell deodorant; all they sell is anti-perspirant, which I cannot use. As for Genie + this is the kind of change that has soured me on Disney. If my wife and grandkids didn’t want to go, DVC would be sold right now.
Joni says
Amen to all items listed and I would like to add those bubble guns. Lol
Colin Hunter says
I Hate people who bring in strollers that are as big as golf carts! Side be side strollers should be banned
William says
Stroller people who feel they have the right to drive through crowds.

I also want G+ to go away or at least change. Not because it costs money but because of how it is set up. I would much rather had WDW start charging for FastPass +. With G+ you have to get up in the morning and monitor it regularly throughout the day. I much rather have had 3 rides already reserved like you could with FP+

I love Devon’s line-skipping penalty – hear! hear! Line skipping needs to be cracked down on by Disney. It’s insane. Got in line for Seven Dwarfs when it was a 55 minute stand by wait; witnessed at least FOUR groups pass us to skip the line…..which turned our 55 minutes into 130. Infuriating! If I could time travel, I’d go back to that line and stop those people.
I’d also like Disney to crack down on out of control motorized scooter drivers who think they ALWAYS have the right of way and NEVER have to slow down. They’re a menace to walking guests’ safety.
And Pris is right….. cash cow Genie+ isn’t going anywhere regardless of how many guests hate it. Grrrr…..

All Item really good. I do understand the essence that ones body puts out after an hour or two at FL Heat,But no amount of Deodorant will hold that back when the temp is 98 and the humidity is 90%. I feel for all the people around me and for me being around them. Yes double wide stroller and the 50Lbs of bag should be cut back.if you look at the what not to bring to Disney one item is wagons yet they are all over the park and the poor cast member can not do anything about.Be kind to us and them read the site and follow it. I total agree that Genie+ and LL and any other form of paying extra should be band. Special at Magic Kingdom where there are so many little ones waiting for a ride.If there was only one lane of people then the line would never stop and back up.How much faster would that be.

You can buy deodorant in the parks at the baby care centres! It has saved me twice!!
Heidi says
Disney has made these problems by being so expensive and “exclusive” so people get there already with chips on their shoulders!
Lucretia Kleinman says
My goodness, some really cranky complaints. I’m 74 years old, a DVC member, and made a recent trip with my 3 grandkids (6 years and under). Kids have to have strollers. They can’t walk as much, especially in the heat and, in crowds, they’ll get lost or knocked down. Have some heart. I don’t know why people go to WDW if they don’t like to be around children. I love the bubble machines. It’s not like you are wearing your finest clothing in the Park. Have you noticed that families from all social/economic backgrounds come to WDW? Some bring coolers of food and drink to save money. Be kind. We are all human beings and should try to get along.
I do agree with the comment about the electric wheelchairs!
Lisa says
I was able to buy deodorant at one of the gift stores on Main Street. Just asked a cast member and they opened a door to a closet of things for sale like that.!
Amanda says
AMEN Lucretia! We have become a society of “I can NOT be uncomfortable and all my ideas are perfect and all must conform”….have grace and compassion – one day you may be in a very different place in life and all may not be as you wish. My hope is someone grants you grace in your path. Give love and support to those around you – not judgement and hate.
Carol Jolly says
My biggest pet peeve – Parents who don’t provide sunglasses, hats, sunscreen for their children in the very hot sun of Florida. And the worst – parents taking out their frustrations on their children – I understand when it is your once in a lifetime trip to see Mickey Mouse and you’ve spent tons of money but your children are hot, cranky, bored, tired, hungry and just do not understand.
Jovienoelle says
Rude people !! Line skippers were ridiculous when we were there in Feb. it was insane !!! The one ride we didn’t use genie+ or a lightning lane had an hour wait – “excuse me my family is up there “ was the crummy line over and over – no they weren’t- single guys !! We used the conveniences because I am disabled and cannot stand and not all lines allow scooters !!
Genie + & lightning lanes are going nowhere!!! Cash cow for them !
Also like the above bringing babes to young to enjoy !! It was cold – newborns in sun suits w/purple limbs – no blankets – then the warmer days no sunscreen – hats etc … as a mom mom it was very upsetting!!! Dragging crying children ..,, when our kid was young young – breaks- meals – swimming – naps ! Can understand that people may only have a day – but wait until they are old enough to enjoy !!
Agree with every complaint 🫤🫤🫤🫤
Alyssa says
The problem is LINE SKIPPING is now Disney’s answer to disabilities, Seen and unseen, with no answer to how it’s going to work. So the line skipping is going to look WORSE than just the people that are abusing the system. Three thumbs down all the way around.
Kenh ag says
Don’t know if I have ever experienced line skipping, so I just don’t get it. I dislike Genie and Genie+ so much so that 2024 is the first year in the past 15 that I did not get an annual pass. Have not been back in over a year.
MC says
I’d like to get rid of “the more you pay, the better your experience”. From Genie+, LL, restaurants, priorities for Disney Resort guests, etc. It’s hard enough for regular people to save up enough money to even go to Disney World but to then be there and watch others parade past you because they have more money to burn and get treated better.
Randi Briggs says
I too would like to see a ban on the bubble guns. At first they were novel and amusing, now they are just obnoxious. I get tired of having bubbles in my face the entire time I am at Disney.
Essie says
I can walk and I thank the Lord for that. I am, however, what they call a short distance walker. I always need to use a power scooter; I could never walk all through the parks. The problem with the scooters is some people with disabilities think the world ‘owes’ them and that they should always come first, which isn’t true. The other problem is that those scooters can’t stop on a dime and some people just jump right in front of them. There should be more consideration on both sides.
