Disney World Cast Members have a lot of rules they need to abide by.
We have a lot of former Cast Members on our team who give us the inside scoop on how things work around the parks, and we were super surprised when they told us about this VERY strict rule they have to follow when they’re NOT on the clock.
You may notice that all Cast Members around the Disney World parks have name tags or blue ID tags that they wear, no matter what their costume is.
These name tags will tell guests the Cast Member’s name, as well as where they’re from. But these name tags have a VERY specific rule that cannot be broken.
These name tags and blue IDs CANNOT be worn if the Cast Member isn’t actively working. This means that if a Cast Member were to head into a Disney park before their shift started, and they wanted to just put their name tag on while they walk to where they clock in for the day, they’d be breaking the rules!
Cast Members travel most pathways behind the scenes, away from guests, but that still doesn’t change the fact that these nametags cannot be worn if they’re not on the clock.
Disney is very strict with their Cast Members about a lot of different things, and this is just one of them. We’re so thankful to have so many former Cast Members on our team to tell us all about the magic they’ve created for other guests, and be sure to stay tuned to DFB — we’ll keep you updated on all the latest inside scoop!
Every Cast Member in Haunted Mansion is BEGGING you to not break this one rule!
