Magic Kingdom is known as “The Most Magical Place on Earth” and for good reason!
When it comes to the Disney Parks, especially Magic Kingdom, sometimes it’s easy to get lost in the “what’s next?” questions. In fact, some of the best parts about Magic Kingdom are the finer details wrapped up in nostalgia. How often do we take a step back and appreciate the little moments at Magic Kingdom that create lifelong memories?
At the end of the day, it’s these small moments that stick with us forever. These priceless memories can’t be bought for an additional price, and no amount of money can make these Magic Kingdom experiences any better than they already are.
Our team came up with seven Magic Kingdom experiences that not even a billionaire could top. Each experience holds a special place in our hearts and has really fueled our love for The Most Magical Place on Earth. We’re super excited to share them with you!
Eating a Mickey Ice Cream Bar in front of Cinderella Castle
It’s been a long hot day, you’re looking for the perfect treat and the perfect spot to eat it. You’ve earned it, after all!
There’s just something extra special about enjoying a delicious Mickey Ice Cream Bar in front of a gorgeous Disney World icon. Every time we do, we feel like a kid again. It’s almost an essential experience and one that we can’t recommend enough.
Throwing your arms up on roller coasters
It doesn’t matter if you’re riding TRON Lightcycle / Run, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, or Space Mountain — there’s something freeing about throwing your arms up on Magic Kingdom’s roller coasters.
The adrenaline mixed with total carefree joy is the reason we ride these thrill attractions and why we’ll always come back to them. If you haven’t tossed your arms up on a coaster yet, give it a try!
A hug from Mickey
We can’t help but get a little emotional when we see Mickey Mouse at Magic Kingdom. He’s like a best friend to many and such a welcoming character, it’s hard not to smile when you see him.
Getting a hug from Mickey is absolutely priceless. You simply can’t put a price tag on nostalgia and the greatness of living out a childhood dream.
Watching the fireworks from the second floor of the Main Street train station
Of course the Walt Disney World Railroad provides a ton of great views throughout the day, but it’s actually one of its stations that provides the best of all.
We LOVE watching the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the second floor of Main Street, U.S.A.’s train station. There’s something extra special about being away from the crowds and allowing yourself to take in the show after a long park day. In our opinion, it’s the perfect way to end an evening.
Riding Astro Orbiter during Early Entry
Most Disney World hotels offer Early Entry access into the Disney Parks, and while many would run toward the E-ticket attractions, we have a different one in mind.
Taking passengers on a flight above a raised platform and offering great views, riding Astro Orbiter early is a special experience for us. It’s hard to find a better way to bring in the day!
Riding the monorail or ferry and seeing Cinderella Castle in the distance
Is a Disney trip even real before you see the castle?
As you get closer and closer to Magic Kingdom, the view from the monorail or ferryboat only fills you with more excitement. You spent so much time planning, a ton of money, probably stressed a bit — but that doesn’t matter anymore. You made it to The Most Magical Place on Earth.
Experiencing the smells of Main Street, U.S.A.
Once in the park, you instantly become overwhelmed with the smells of Main Street, U.S.A. This nostalgic fragrance welcomes you home and makes you feel like you’ve never left.
The sweet scent of delicious baked goods, the smells of sugary sweetness, and Disney World’s tempting Smellitzers draw you in and make you never want to leave!
