Disney Springs’ new drone show LOOKS INCREDIBLE.
We’ve known for a while now that Disney Springs would be home to a brand new nighttime drone show – Disney Dreams That Soar – beginning this summer. Now, we’ve gotten an exclusive peek at the show thanks to one of our readers.
This past week, Disney staged some late night cast member previews of Dreams that Soar over Disney Springs, and one of our readers was able to share some footage with us.
Check out VIDEO of the new drone showing premiering TOMORROW in Disney Springs! Thanks to Eric.Mouse for sharing with us from cast member previews! 🎥 pic.twitter.com/qIHKNhr1gG

Honestly, while we were already excited for this show, this new footage has really blew our minds. The transition from a complete Dumbo figure soaring through clouds cutting his red balloon…
… to Carl and Ellie’s house from Up – with the red balloon becoming part of the mass of balloons holding the house in the air – is seamless. To the best of our knowledge, this level of drone technology has never been used on a regular basis at Disney World before.
According to Disney, the theme of Dreams That Soar ties into flight. They describe the show as “hundreds of state-of-the-art drones “dancing” across the sky, choreographed to a soaring musical score of iconic Disney music and memorable dialogue from beloved Disney movies. Watch them fly in a constant state of transformation—designing towering elements that are 400-feet tall and creating images of some of your favorite Disney characters from Toy Story, Coco, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Up, the Star Wars saga and more!”
Like many of Disney World’s other modern nighttime shows, Dreams That Soar will interact with your Magic Band. Making it “come alive—lighting up, vibrating and interacting with the spectacle that’s unfolding in the night sky!”
Disney Dreams That Soar is currently scheduled to premiere on May 24th, and run through the summer with a final scheduled performance on September 2nd. The show – which according to Disney can best be viewed from the West Side of Disney Springs, specifically along the waterfront between the Cirque du Soleil Theatre and the Aerophile balloon – marks the first major nighttime spectacular/show in the long and ever-evolving history of the area currently known as Disney Springs. Stay tuned to DFB for either coverage of this new extravaganza.

We’ll be there a June 1st. Does anyone know if you get the same experience. Over at Saratoga Springs, or should you be at Disney Springs?

Hi Jason! One of our teammates, Breea, watched the drone show from Saratoga Springs and said that you could hear it well enough and the only thing to be aware of is that the end sequence appears backwards from over there, but if you’re trying to avoid the Disney Springs crowd, Saratoga Springs was a great place to catch the show.
