Planning a Disney World vacation soon? We’re here to help!
Booking a hotel reservation can be one of the toughest tasks when it comes to planning a Disney World trip. From price to ease of transportation, there is so much to consider when deciding which hotel is best for you and your family. It all comes down to your top priorities — and if being close to the Disney Skyliner is a high priority, then this is the list for you!
The Skyliner resorts include Disney’s Art of Animation Resort (Value Hotel), Disney’s Pop Century Resort (Value Hotel), Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate Hotel), and Disney’s Riviera Resort (Deluxe Hotel). We’ve done the research and figured out which rooms at each resort are closest to the Skyliner!
The Disney Skyliner is a free gondola transportation system connecting EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios to several Disney hotels. Stations can be found at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort (the main Skyliner hub), EPCOT’s International Gateway, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts, and Disney’s Riviera Resort.
There is also a turn station located near Disney’s BoardWalk Inn between the Riviera Resort and EPCOT.
The Riviera Resort features the closest rooms to the Skyliner out of the four hotels. Rooms 5509 and 5510 are ONLY 94 steps away from the entrance to the Disney’s Hollywood Studios side of the Skyliner station.
The next closest are Art of Animation’s Nemo Rooms 4539, 4540, 5513, and 5514 — which are just 127 steps from the Skyliner.
Pop Century is literally only a single step behind, with Rooms 4161, 4162, 5111, and 5112, 130 steps from the Skyliner.
Caribbean Beach has super close rooms to the Skyliner, with Rooms 4102 and 4104 just 194 steps away from the station when you take the pathway. Rooms 4130 and 4131 are 130 steps away when you cut through the grass, and Rooms 5509 and 5510 are 164 steps away from the EPCOT side of the Riviera station.
One of our reporters walked these routes and documented the steps so that we could absolutely verify that these are the closest hotel rooms to the Skyliner.
For many families, Skyliner access is a big bonus when choosing a hotel. Other hotel modes of transportation include the monorail, water taxis, and buses. You can learn more about Disney World transportation by clicking HERE!
Other factors to consider aside from cost and transportation are proximity to the Disney Parks, theming, amenities, dining options, room size, pools, and more.

What about Beach Club? I’ve stayed in a room there that was VERY close to the International Gateway.

I LOVE a skyliner stay (Riviera for us). But I’m always torn with the Boardwalk stay for quickest access to Epcot! So it will always depend on what we’re doing/which parks we’re hitting!
