If you love a good parade, boy, do we have some NEWS. FOR. YOU.
You might already be the type of person to stop EVERYTHING to watch the Festival of Fantasy Parade in Magic Kingdom, or Magic Happens in Disneyland. But now there’s a NEW parade in town, and this time, it’s over at Universal Orlando Resort. Will it be one that you absolutely must go see during your next trip? We got a first look at it, and now we’re sharing ALL the details with you!
Universal’s brand-new Mega Movie Parade has arrived at Universal Studios Florida and it’s got a LOT going on.
The parade features references to some of the most iconic movies ever made, including E.T., Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, Jaws, Trolls, Minions, and so much more. This is also the biggest daytime parade for Universal Orlando EVER.Â
The parade features a 16-foot Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, y’all! You cannot get much more epic than that.
There’s also a live marching drum line performing the iconic music from Jaws (da-dum, da-dum, da-dum) along with a float themed to the movie.
Plus, you’ll want to look for references to Sing and Kung Fu Panda.
The parade features a total of 13 floats and nearly 100 performers (which includes folks dancing, skating, walking on stilts, and more).
The finale of the parade even includes a massive Jurassic World float with a Gyrosphere, Raptors, and Tyrannosaurus rex.
Look for special effects and hidden details throughout the parade that make things extra special. We loved seeing all these characters on bicycles for the E.T. portion of the parade.
Mega Movie Parade officially debuted on July 3rd and will continue to be available at Universal Studios Florida. Be sure to check the Universal app for times and parade route.
Looking to make things extra special? Grab one of the new interactive bubble wands inspired by Trolls and Jurassic World. These actually interact with some of the Universal Mega Movie Parade floats.
The parade isn’t the only new thing in Universal Orlando, though. DreamWorks Land also recently opened. You can meet Shrek and splash around in his swamp, ride the Trollercoaster, and learn kung fu from Po. And don’t forget to get the Shrek Pretzel with green cheese!
You can also visit Universal to see the brand-new nighttime show CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular. It’s got fountains, projection mapping, drones, and much more! Get a peek at it here.
But wait…there’s MORE. You can also stop by The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’s Hogsmeade Land for another new nighttime show — Hogwarts Always. There are even four different endings to the show (featuring different Houses winning the House Cup) so you never know which ending you’ll get.
WHEW. That’s quite a lot to do over at Universal, so start planning those trips early. We’ll keep you updated on other Universal Orlando news, including all the latest on Universal’s third park, Epic Universe. Stay tuned to DFB for more.

I’ve been to Universal, but I just don’t like “the look” of the parks. It doesn’t look “high end”. I love WDW!
