Let’s be honest, Disney World is pretty magical!
But let’s be real, even in the Most Magical Place on Earth, there are some behaviors that will cause you to raise an eyebrow and clutch your Dole Whip a bit tighter, and that’s what we’re here to talk about. Let’s go over some of the things that people do at Disney that are, well, shall we say a bit on the creepy side.
As we said, there are a couple of things we’ve all probably witnessed people do in Disney World that have made you shudder.
The Princess (or Prince) Charmers
We all love a good Disney character interaction, but there’s definitely a line. Hitting on Cinderella or asking Prince Eric out on a date? Yeah, that’s a bit much.
Remember that these Cast Members have a tough job and they’re there to spread the Disney magic (not catch feels). Let’s keep the interactions cute and respectful, y’all.
Trying to Get Characters Out of Character
We have seen people say the most bizarre things to characters like Mickey or Ariel, just trying to see if they’ll break character. Spoiler alert — they won’t.
These Cast Members have been trained to stay in character no matter what, so maybe people could stop asking Belle about her thoughts on modern-day politics or grilling Aladdin about his tax returns. How about we just go with the flow and enjoy the interactions?
The Barefoot Brigade
Listen, we get it. Disney World is huge, and after a full day of walking (for miles and miles), your feet probably feel like they’ve just been through a full marathon. But maybe the resort isn’t the best place for walking around barefoot.
I mean, we don’t really have to go over all the points about how unhygienic it is, nor all the gum, spilled drinks, and other unidentified sticky things that you could step on. Maybe keeping your shoes on at least until you get to your hotel room is for the best.
The Pre-Show Screamers
We all know the feeling of anticipation building as the lights start dimming for the Haunted Mansion preshow. It’s supposed to be spooky, but not THAT spooky.
So you know how in those moments the lights flicker off, and suddenly, someone in the crowd decides to unleash a blood-curdling scream?
Yeah, well I don’t think we needed that kind of extra drama. It’s enough to make anyone jump out of their skin. Attractions like this one and the Tower of Terror are designed to be “fun”-scary, not heart attack-inducing. Maybe we take a deep breath and keep the screams to a minimum?
Don’t worry if you’ve ever done any of these things (we’re not here to judge you). In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more tips, tricks, and resources to help you plan the BEST Disney World vacation possible.

Melanie Durham says
So I have a fear of falling and I only rode tower of terror once. That was it for me. So I probably let out a blood curdling scream. However, on some rides screaming makes it fun for me. I Dont go overboard with it. As you mention in the haunted mansion when ppl are premature, or let out that blood curdling scream in the stretching room, its a bit much I do agree. How about when they are narrating verbatim and none of us can hear what the narrator is saying? It takes away from the magic. Especially when ppl are there for their first visit. We know you’ve been there a million times and you know what the narrator is going to say. But please, for the sake of the first timers, keep the magic.
