It’s the most wonderful time of the year… I love being on the Earl of Sandwich email list. Not only do you get a free sandwich for your birthday month (which I just redeemed!) but you also get emails letting you know about seasonal specials.
When this one recently arrived, I got pretty excited!
Holiday eats have descended upon Earl of Sandwiches across the country, and I headed into our local Disneyland store to check ’em out! Note that these are also available at the Walt Disney World Earl of Sandwich!
Holiday Turkey Sandwich
We all know that the Holiday Turkey Sandwich is here to stay as it became a permanent menu item last year. And even though it’s always there, I still get super excited whenever I get a chance to have one.
Piled high with turkey, stuffing, gravy & cranberry sauce, this sandwich is comfort food at its best. A hand held Thanksgiving meal, the Holiday Turkey Sandwich is toasted to perfection and really can not be beat.
Holiday Ham Sandwich
New to the holiday sandwich family this year is the Holiday Ham Sandwich.
With heaps of ham, fresh pineapple rings & a holiday apple glaze type sauce, this sandwich is sure to be a huge hit. Served warm and toasted just like all of its Earl relatives, the flavors in this new sandwich really pop.
In my opinion, you can’t really go wrong with a pineapple/ham partnership.
Peppermint Brownies
Peppermint Brownies
have also made a comeback. They taste just as great as they did when they made their debut last year. Chocolate goodness sprinkled with peppermint; they’ll make you quickly realize that a visit from Santa is just around the corner!
Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes
Not quite ready for a visit from Santa? Then grab one of these Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes and indulge in the flavors of Fall. As a lover of all things pumpkin, this is the item I was most excited to try.
What I loved about this cupcake is that it reminded me of a small homemade cupcake. It wasn’t a big frou frou fancy cupcake, just a little treat with lots of flavor.
The cake itself was not skimpy on the pumpkin flavor. It had just enough holiday spice, but much heavier on the pumpkin side. The cream cheese frosting is dolloped on top and there’s a little frosting surprise on the inside, too! I loved this cupcake.
The Turkey Holiday Sandwich is here to stay, but its new holiday friends will only be around for a limited time. So, the next time you visit the Earl of Sandwich, consider trying something new! You won’t be disappointed.
Overall
Overall, I absolutely love the transition from fall to winter eats. The holiday sandwiches are amazingly delicious. And if Earl sells it, I’ll buy it. I’ve never had a bad experience at Earl of Sandwich and I appreciate the fact that you can get a great meal at an affordable price.
A little hint: if you’ve got an Auto Club Card, bring it to the Disneyland location! You get the best discount with it; 15%, while your Annual Pass only gets you 10%.
Do you plan on heading to Earl of Sandwich to sample their holiday eats? Which item are you most excited to try?

Thanks for the tip! I just signed hubby and I both up for emails from Earl’s! He’s going to be so happy with me. We are heading down to Disney next month. It’s my Christmas gift, but we’ll actually be there on HIS birthday. Christmas is my favorite time to visit the World..and my #1 fave blog keeps me up to date on all the awesomeness that is Disney. Thank you! 🙂

Since I can’t get down to WDW for the holidays this year, I think I will copy that turkey sandwich and pumpkin cupcake this thanksgiving, sit in the sunroom and imagine looking out at the lagoon in Downtown Disney.

We ate at Earl of Sandwich last month for the first time and loved it. Can’t believe it took us so long to try it, and the only reason we did was because of this blog – yay for DFB!
One helpful tip is that my husband is quite fussy with sandwiches (hates mayo) and that had always put him off eating there. Other readers may like to know you can customise any sandwich on the menu as everything is made to order – you just say which sandwich you want and what you would like left off it. We loved the food here but I am so sad they had sold out of brownies when we visited – I love peppermint and I love brownies! Ah well – just have to visit next year!
Heather Sievers says
@Alan – Sounds like a great plan!
@Miranda – So glad you loved it! Those peppermint brownies will be waiting for you! ; )

I live just 30 minutes from downtown Disney. I go to the Earl quite often just for the Holiday turkey sandwich. I get mine with extra cranberries and extra stuffing. I love them!!!!!!!!
Essie says
I love the Earl and usually eat there on every trip. I went at Christmas for the first time last year and I can’t wait until I can do another trip between turkey day and the holidays. I usually get the American, but I will def get the Turkey Holiday Sandwich on my next visit.

When I was at WDW last week, I ate at Earl of Sandwich twice and had the Holiday Turkey Sandwich both times. But I did change it up with my desert. Once I had the Pumpkin cupcake and the second time the Peppermint Brownie. All was delicious and I wish I had an Earl close to my home! Thanks for the article and the pictures 🙂

Ate at Earl 2 wks ago. The chicken chipotle avocado sandwich was soooo good. Our pumpkin spice cupcake did not have a filling surprise =( but the biggest disappointment was the pb brownie sandwich – I expected a reese’s like pb frosting filling but it was literally a glob of regular old pb in the middle. After all the reviews I’ve read about how good the brownie sandwiches are I’m thinking maybe they were out of the good pb filling that day?
Heather Sievers says
@Lori – I live close to the one here in Anaheim, we go often as well. I need to remember the extra cranberries tip! I love the Turkey Holiday!
@Essie – You won’t regret it, it’s so good!
@Edie – I almost never stray from the Holiday Turkey Sandwich!
@Niki M. – The peanut butter is always a real glob of regular peanut butter, they have a wall of Skippy at the one here in Anaheim!
