CONFIRMED: Tiana's Bayou Adventure Will Be Open During Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party in Disney World

Now that the 4th of July has passed, we are officially moving into spooky season.

That means it won’t be long before the Halloween decorations start going up in Magic Kingdom. The first Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is just WEEKS away, and we’re still getting tons of details about this year’s event. One of the biggest questions we’ve had, though, is about the rides that will be open during the party, and there seems to be some confusion about Magic Kingdom’s NEWEST ride, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The good news is we now have confirmation that the ride WILL be open during the party.

Here’s the thing: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a limited ticketed event, which means that there are fewer people in Magic Kingdom for the party than you would see on a normal day. That means that lines for rides are relatively short, so it’s a great time to check out those rides. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is new, meaning it’s very popular during the day, so it could be easier to ride it during the party.”

However, in May, Disney removed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure from the “open rides” list on the My Disney Experience app for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. We weren’t sure what that meant, but that led to some confusion as to whether Tiana’s Bayou Adventure would be open or not during party hours.

However, we recently checked the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure page on the Disney World website, and it is showing that the ride will be open during the special ticketed event. So if you’ve been wanting to ride down the bayou with Tiana and friends, you’ll have a good opportunity to do so during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

The one thing we don’t know, though, is how you’ll be able to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Currently, there is no standby line; you can only grab a spot on it during regular hours by obtaining a boarding pass via the virtual queue or by booking a Lightning Lane through Genie+. We have seen newer rides use virtual queues during special events, but Disney has not yet confirmed if that will be available for the ride at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.

We will, however, be keeping an eye out for more details, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
