We’re getting hyped up for a popular event returning to EPCOT next month — the International Food & Wine Festival!
It’s one of the biggest draws of the year, bringing thousands of people to the park to taste the dishes from around the world. And now that EPCOT’s transformation is complete, we can’t wait to see how the festival is going to be even bigger and better! But if you’re curious about the FOOD, Disney recently dropped a major clue.
In a recent Disney Insider newsletter, we got a tidbit about what to expect from the 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. We’ll be getting two new food booths, as well as some brand-new fall flavors for this year’s fest!
Here’s the excerpt from the newsletter:
“The 2024 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will feature new marketplaces. “The marketplace selections will focus on fall foods and flavors,” Downing says. “We are going beyond the usual seasonal ingredients like apples and pumpkins and using other foods that capture the flavors in unique ways, such as a brined pork tenderloin with fennel slaw at Autumn Blaze and a wild game chili at Harvest Table, both new marketplaces.”
Both Autumn Blaze and Harvest Table will be new to the festival this year, and it looks like they’re going to be experimenting with some flavors we haven’t really seen before. Typically, the Food & Wine Festival is heavy on traditional fall flavors like pumpkin, apple, cheese, sweet potatoes, etc. But now we’ll be getting some items that are a bit outside the box! Brined pork and wild game? Sounds intriguing!
We often see returning favorite dishes at the Food & Wine Festival year after year, with some classic booths having the same menu multiple years in a row. But we can typically count on new festival booths to bring innovation to the party each year, and it looks like 2024 will be no different!
Disney hasn’t yet released the full menus for this year’s festival, which kicks off on August 29th and runs through November 23rd. We’ll make sure to update you as soon as they do! This year’s festival will be a little bit shorter than the past few years, considering it’s starting at the end of August instead of in early July. We’re getting back to it being more of a “fall” festival.
Hopefully, the weather will be relaxed this fall and we’ll get to enjoy lots of hearty Food & Wine Festival dishes in the coming months. We can’t wait to take you along!
