Disneyland Resort has a breakfast STAR! This is the way to start your mornings, people.
We just tried a breakfast dish at Disney’s California Adventure’s newest themed area, and we LOVED it.
The steak and egg breakfast burrito is available now at the park’s Cappuccino Cart, located in the Big Hero 6-themed San Fransokyo Square. It consists of marinated steak, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and Monterey Jack cheese with avocado chimichurri.
To put it bluntly, we legitimately thought this was one of the best quick-service breakfasts we’ve ever had at the park. We found all of the ingredients really complimented each other well. The steak was juicy and somewhat sweet from the marinade, which was also absorbed into the potatoes. The eggs were fluffy, warm, and flavorful, with hints of cheese, though the overall cheese flavor wasn’t too prominent.
We found the chimichurri to have a light and refreshing avocado flavor with a little bit of spice. Overall, the burrito wasn’t too spicy on its own, but the salsa that it comes with will definitely spice it up if you so choose. The steak and egg burrito is available for $11.50 and provides a massive value for the price given its portion size.
Perhaps this breakfast burrito will sway some of the debate over eating breakfast at Disney’s theme parks. Believe it or not, the idea of having breakfast at Disney is a bit of a divisive subject amongst Disney fans. Many of our readers have told us they often skip breakfast at Disney Parks for reasons like time and expense, instead choosing to have something quick in their room before jetting off to their park of choice as early as possible.
The reason given by most readers was simply that they didn’t want to “waste time” eating breakfast. As reader Christina put it, “Never. I’m not wasting precious morning hours by slowing down for food. We bring a to-go bfast snack to eat in the gate line.”
That brings us back to the steak and egg breakfast burrito. Not only is it delicious and filling, it’s also portable, meaning that it can provide a full meal on-the-go and help negate the idea that the only way to have a good and filling breakfast at a Disney park is to “waste valuable theme park time.”
In fact, the only time risk in getting this dish might be the massive lines that tend to accumulate for them.
The steak and egg burrito, currently available at the Cappuccino Cart in California Adventure’s San Fransokyo Square area, is one of our favorite Disneyland breakfast dishes to date. Stay tuned to DFB for further reviews of Disney food.
