We think we could all use a Disney Cruise Line vacation right about now!
Disney Cruise Line currently operates five cruise ships, with three more already announced to be on the way. While they have some pretty amazing ships already in their fleet, we are getting excited for the Disney Treasure to join the fleet later this year.
The Disney Treasure is scheduled to make its Maiden Voyage with passengers on December 21st, 2024. Disney has been releasing lots of information about what to expect on this new cruise ship, and we spotted some weird things that will be on this cruise ship. Let’s take a look at a few of the odd items that will be making their way onto Disney’s sixth ship.
Cat Cocktail at Scat Cat Lounge
We are starting off with the item that inspired this whole post: the Cat Cocktail from the Scat Cat Lounge. We love cats here at DFB, but we feel a little uneasy with how this drink makes us feel.
The Cat Drink contains clarified bourbon, amaro, Aperol, and fresh lemon…and a cat staring directly at you. We kind of feel like its eyes are following us as we move.

Hidden Figments
This one is a weird thing that will only be able to be seen from a particular room on the ship. The Tomorrow Tower Suite is an EPCOT-inspired room onboard the Disney Treasure. Not only is it MASSIVE, but it will also have some hidden details. Inside the Tomorrow Tower Suite, you will be able to spot hidden Figments.
Yep! We are talking about the purple dragon from Journey Into Imagination With Figment. Disney has stated that “guests will encounter Figment posing in various hiding places.” We haven’t spotted any in the artist renderings of the room, but we are excited to see where Figment is hiding!
8 Uncomfortable PROBLEMS You’ll Face When Cruising on the Disney Treasure
Ghost Fish Aquarium at Haunted Mansion Parlor
We have written about the Haunted Mansion Parlor quite a few times. We are maybe just slightly excited about it (more like counting down the days until we can experience it!). There is one weird item that will be located inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor. While enjoying a beverage, you will also be able to see a Ghost Fish Aquarium. This is a mysterious aquarium filled with ghost fish.
Does that mean little ghostly fish swimming around? While Disney hasn’t released exactly what to expect with this aquarium, we do have this lovely concept art to tide us over until we can experience it in person. Intriguing, but also a bit weird!
9 Things We’re Begging Disney To Bring to the NEW Haunted Mansion Bar
Chocolate Bark Zootopia Postcards
While onboard the Disney Treasure, you will be able to shop at Jumbeaux’s Sweets, which is the counterpart to Zootopia’s ice cream parlor, Jumbeaux Café. This shop will feature Victorian-style architecture and lots of pink. But that is not the only thing you will be able to find there. You will also be able to grab some Zootopia Chocolate Bark Post Cards.
These sweet treats are inspired by Zootopia characters with flavor combinations that include dry fruits, nuts, and sprinkles. We are curious to see what type of flavor combinations represent each of the characters!
MENUS Announced for New Restaurants on Disney Treasure Cruise Ship
Groot is the Star of a Dinner Show
Alright, we absolutely LOVE Groot, but when we heard he was hosting his very own dinner show we were intrigued…but a bit surprised too. Groot will be starring in Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix which will be an immersive experience that follows Groot as he brings diners along for an on-screen quest.
While you dine, you will enjoy an “awesome mix” of tunes and even answer trivia questions to test your Marvel knowledge. We are actually pretty excited to be able to dine with Groot and we are curious to see where our adventure with him takes us.

Woody Water Blaster in the Toy Story Splash Zone
We always love to see what innovative spaces will be brought to the Disney cruise ships, and this Toy Story Splash Zone looks like a lot of fun for the kiddos. However, we couldn’t help but notice the slightly bizarre looking Woody water blaster.
While we can see the inspiration, we are also thinking this water blaster could end up in our nightmares. We will say, the water blaster grows on you a bit, but it still is a bit odd. We are curious to see what Buzz looks like from the front though!
