It’s hard not to love Disney World.
There’s so much magic in the parks. The attractions, characters, food, shows, and Cast Members make your vacation wonderful. When we’re in the parks we know we’re going to have a great time, and it’s hard to be anything but happy. However, there are instances when things happen that just get our blood boiling and perhaps you have had similar instances happen to you. We thought about it and came up with five scenarios that fill us with rage even when we’re trying for 100% positivity.
People Being Rude to Cast Members
Cast Members are some of our favorite people! They’re there to make your trip as pleasant and efficient as possible. They put in a lot of work to keep things running smoothly in the parks.
We love Cast Members so much that we get very upset when we see people being rude and mean to them. Sometimes things happen that are outside of Cast Members’ control, so raising your voice or being demanding is unnecessary. Cast Members are doing their best and working their hardest, they are the last people who deserve your animosity. So please remember to be kind to Disney World Cast Members!
International Gateway Skyliner Problems
The Skyliner station at International Gateway is a great way to get to your Skyliner resort from EPCOT. There are several resorts that are located right at Skyliner stations, so jumping on it at International Gateway (right outside the UK pavilion) makes it really convenient. However, the downside is that the Skyliner does close for weather.
It’s when we have walked all through EPCOT to get to International Gateway to hop on the Skyliner to our resort only to find that it’s closed for weather that makes us super frustrated. The only other option when this happens is to walk all the way back to the front entrance of EPCOT to hop on the resort buses that are offered. This ends up being a lot of extra steps in your day — and you’re often taking those steps IN that stormy weather! It’s hard to know if this is going to happen, and the Skyliner resorts don’t offer buses to EPCOT unless the Skyliner closes. So this is a tough to predict and a hard pill to swallow when it happens.
No Dedicated Lines at Hotel Bus Stops
When you head to the bus stops at one of the parks, you’ll notice they have designated lines for guests to enter. It’s great because then you enter the bus in order of when you get to the bus stop. No one should jump in front of you if you got there before them since you’re in a line. Unfortunately, that is not the case at all the hotel bus stops!
Some hotels, like All-Star Movies, do have designated lines, but others like Old Key West and Yacht and Beach Club Resorts only have benches to sit on while you wait for the buses to arrive. This means that anyone can jump into line in any order when the bus shows up. This can be really frustrating if you’ve been waiting at the stop for a while a group of people who just got there jump in line ahead of you. We suggest being aware of others waiting if you are just showing up at the bus stop!
When Rides Break Down Multiple Times
Have you ever been in line for Rise of the Resistance in Hollywood Studios and it breaks down? Has that happened to you twice in a row? Yep, that’s happened to us! It can be so frustrating!
This doesn’t only happen at Rise of the Resistance. Some rides at Disney World are just more prone to temporarily shutting down than others. Occasionally, when this happens, Cast Members may issue a Lightning Lane to make up for the time you lost waiting in line and then not being able to ride it. It’s not a guarantee that they will do that, but it is a nice gesture when it happens.
People Being Inconsiderate of Other Guests
There are millions of people in the Disney World parks every day. You’ll walk through crowds, stand in long lines, and wait for shows with tons of other guests. What can be the most frustrating is when others forget that there are more people in the parks than just them.
Sometimes people stop in the middle of a walkway with others right behind them. This can cause people to stumble, fall, or step on you. It can also cause a jam-up of the crowd behind you. Another frustrating thing is when people put their kids on their shoulders during the fireworks and parades. There are other people these kids and their parents, and having them up on your shoulders makes it very difficult for those behind you to see the show in front of you. We just want to remind everyone that there are TONS of people in the parks, and we ask that you be considerate of others.
We see lots of things in the parks that make us mad, but we try our best to stay positive and enjoy our time in the Most Magical Place on Earth!

I’ve been following for years and enjoying your posts, but I feel strongly about one thing you repeatedly rant about and that is stopping in the middle of the walkway. To repeat one of your items be considerate of other guests. The person behind is responsible for paying attention and should be able to avoid it. Disney World is a big place and I have been the person suddenly realizing I was going the wrong way. Give grace.

One thing about the international gateway sky line, if it closes, yes you need to get to the front of Epcot. Here’s a tip for those tires feet . Ride the shuttle boat from France to the front of it’s operating.

I think people are looking at the groups who stop directly in the main walking patterns to rearrange the entire stroller contents or to feed a child in the stroller. Perhaps to scroll thru their smartphone to see where they are or what the next attraction is. These operations could well be accomplished at the side of the walkway or at least out of the direct way of others. Would you stop your car in the middle of the highway to retrieve something from the backseat?

Definitely agree with not stopping the middle of a walkway. We always move to the side if we need to stop but other people will just stop where they are and you have to go around them and hopefully not run into them. My biggest pet peeve is kids on shoulders. I’m not very tall and it’s so frustrating to have a spot for the fireworks where I can see and just as it starts a wall of kids on shoulders goes up in front of me which blocks my view and everybody else’s that is behind them. It’s so rude! Hold them at your head height and they’ll be able to see as well as an adult and so can the people behind them.

Along the lines of “when others forget that there are more people in the parks than just them”, I’m reminded of how people would just walk right in front of my wife as she was driving her electric wheelchair. Wheelchairs like that are very sturdy, can go at a relatively fast speed, and can cause a real problem should a collision occur. And when they stepped in front of her, causing her to have to stop abruptly, they would look at her as though it was HER FAULT! While I’m on that topic, if someone in a wheelchair is waiting for an accessible bathroom stall, please be kind and use a stall meant for able-bodied persons.

How about when someone tries to move in front of you during the fireworks?! Seriously lady you have a spot you don’t need mine too. Also, during Luminous don’t sit with us around the lagoon only to stand to film. You ruined everyone’s view. All we could see was her butt! And who is she filming? Other people have used 4k high resolution devices to get the best picture. W
