We have a tendency to do some serious investigating when McDonald’s drops a teaser about an upcoming product release. Between the new Happy Meal toys, the iconic debut of WcDonald’s, and even the release of adult Happy Meals, we’ve seen all kinds of interesting things happening at McDonald’s lately.

But now McDonald’s is up to its tricks once more, teasing us with another BIG release, and we think we’ve caught a hint about what may be coming.
Ok, we’re probably being a little overdramatic here, but we want to give this teaser the proper build-up just as we experienced it! If you’re new to us here, we sometimes get texts from McDonald’s teasing upcoming sauces and limited releases. So, when we got a most recent text about something coming very soon, it put our speculative brains to work! The text we got said, “me thinking about whats dropping 8.13, here’s a hint. any guesses?”

If your nostalgic heart swooned at the sight of a McNugget Buddy, then you’re right at home with us! Could this be teasing another line of McNugget Buddies to be released soon? McDonald’s also tweeted (X’d?) a mysterious message reading, “ur not ready for what i’m about to spill.”

Further sleuthing brought us to another reveal, and we think we’ve FINALLY cracked the case. McDonald’s is debuting a limited-time release of “Collector’s Meal” themed plastic cups (and if that doesn’t really make you feel the nostalgia, we don’t know what will).

The proposed lineup of glasses appears to feature:
- Beanie Babies
- Barbie
- Hot Wheels
- Hello Kitty
- Peanuts
- Shrek
- Jurassic Park
- Minions
Each of these colorful designs will highlight major Happy Meal toy releases, like the Gingerbread Man watch that was available when Shrek Forever After was released. We are SO looking forward to collecting these new cups — McDonald’s is expected to release these with a series of combo meals called a “Collector’s Meal.” You’ll be able to order meals featuring a choice of 10-piece McNuggets or a Big Mac with fries and a soft drink, or a sausage and egg McMuffin, hash brown, and coffee.
